Road Speed gear options

Heey there everyone!

I am slowly getting back into the swing of things here and am now trying to figure out the Road Speed Tab and how to get the right data into the gear options section. Does anyone here know what the input requirements are? I am lost as to if I need to press Learn 1st Gear for example at redline in 1st gear or at ??? So far it looks to be a little shy in the details and I am hoping to get it all programmed in before wet weather comes to get me. Traction control, flat shifting, boost per gear are all items that once my EBC is done tonight I'm looking at hitting.

Anyhow, if anyone here has played with this and had good luck... I could use the help.

Thanks all and I'll post my map on Sunday with all of the weekend's tuning.

Cheers,
Matt

That was easy!

Alright... So I overcomplicated this one to the point of lunacy!

Drive in first... hit learn 1st
Drive in second... hit learn 2nd
Drive in third...hit learn 3rd

And so on and so on and so on...

My mind totally forgot that the car was using MVSS along with RPM/KPA to figure it all out. So, it's just that simple...

Now if only getting all of my higher RPM MAP tables were this simple. :)

Cheers,
Prospero

Typically, I find that once you've got good data in the high-RPM, low-MAP and high-MAP, low-RPM cells, that you can do a pretty decent job extrapolating the high-RPM, high-MAP cells by hand. Cheaper than dyno time, less dangerous than hauling a ton of lead uphill.

At least, that's the case with the MS. I assume you can do the same with the more expensive boxes.
