Default Slooooooow map uploads

So I am not getting any love at the Adaptronic forum so I'll ask it here. When I switched to the latest firmware and WARI releases, my map upload speeds (PC -> Adaptronic) slowed way, way down. It is now taking 5-6 minutes to upload a map. This is... inconvenient... and so I would like to speed it up somehow. Anyone got any ideas? Anyone else seeing this? Travis can you use your vendor powers to ask Adaptronic for a way to speed up map transfers?

so you're megahellastylin?

anyway, did you check your serial port settings? are you using a usb-serial connection? is the WARI setting set to the right com port (assuming yes, but there's two "modbus" options for whatever reason)?

Yeah that is me.

Yes, checked serial port settings, using usb to serial, WARI set to right port, modbus setting makes no difference. The thing is, until I installed WARI V5 and firmware V5 (fixed), I was getting much faster uploads and I did not change anything else. Others are seeing slow uploads as well.

Are you getting faster (than me) uploads with WARI 5 and firmware V5?

I swear, I thought I was being clear stating the issue at the adaptronic forum but I guess not. Two countries separated by a common language. But seriously, 6 minutes to transfer an 8 kb map file?

6 minutes is long. When I upload a map, I'll hit the button, go take my garbage to the end of the driveway and by the time I get back it's all done. Probably less than 1 min. No idea how to help you though.

Are you using WARI V5 and firmware V5? Just trying to get an idea what is going on. What are your serial settings? Are you using an adapter or a PC with a serial port?

I am using a USB-serial adapter. I'll check my settings at home later. I'm still using V2.0. There isn't enough documentation on the changes for me to want to upgrade, unless I'm not looking in the right place.

make sure you verify and all that.

I get about one minute PC -> ECU and about 30 seconds ECU -> PC

OK I'll check it out later and report back. If I have firmware V4 I'll up to V5. I do run verify whenever I flash the ecu.

Thanks

Heey there guys... read about the v5.0 FW and new WARI; but details on what has changed are far and few between.

What's new with these versions cuz I am still on 2.0 FW and Wari 3 something...

Been to the Adaptronic forums but didn't see much there either.... soo what's the change all about? (Maybe this will solve some of my issues)

Cheers,
M@

Somewhere in there was the upgrade to predicted throttle mapping. I forget which version that came with.

OK so I reflashed the ECU with V5 of the firmware. I already had V5 firmware loaded on the ECU but decided to flash it again. After flashing, I verified the load as usual. Then I loaded a map file and noticed an immediate increase in map load speed. I changed nothing else, JUST REFLASHED, and now it is uploading the maps much faster, more like before, about 1.5 minutes. The download (Adap to PC) is faster now too.

So, whatever, it is back to normal again. Somehow the reflash fixed the problem
