Default trying to get it to start

added 320cc injectors and using a dyno tuned map for the same injectors does not want turn over. should i have to calibrate my map sensor? it started on the stock ecu just idled at 3000, hooked up the apadtronic and wont turn over at all. any help out there would be great, ever since i changed to the 320cc i have not been able to get it to start.

thanks

chad

"does not want to turn over".. ? Thats not injectors related...

You mean turns over but doesnt start? What are you tunning in? VE? Did you update your fuel cranking map, injectors size and injectors dead times?

Was it running on adaptronic before? Hook up the old map and plug in some numbers for the fuel map and cranking settings etc.

tried a supplied map for stock injectors and it fired up like you said, but runs really rough. map sensor was reading 46 kpa. and i believe im not getting a good seal around the injectors with supplied o rings. i am ve tuning. this is the first time it has run on the adaptronic. going to try to get the map sensor calibrated in right and check my injector seals and go from there. i dont think the o-rings are thick enough to seal on the bottom of the injector. this is where im at right now will work on it after the 9-5. stay tuned

Whats the wideband gauge say? If you dont have one GET ONE.

When you redid the injectors you DID install the plastic spacers between the rail and the mount on the intake manifold right?

wide band was jumping between 11.2 and 10s adaptronic said is was 15.5, why is the guage reading different from the ecu? yes i installed the plastic spacers correctly and had not leaks but i dont believe my injectors are sealing correctly so im about to order the DW 350cc from boundary tonight which was my orignal plan, wont try to start it again until my new injectors arrive. i will keep updates on here triple88 im sure ill need some of your wisdom before its all over.

Which wideband are you using? Do you have the right one selected in the s/w? My AEM UEGO display tracks right with the serial output to the Adaptronic.

I would have to say that Deatschwerks Injectors are by far the highest quality injector i have ever installed. wow is all i have to say. well i got them installed but it started pouring down rain so i didnt have a chance to start the car up. hopefully it will hold off enough today.

ok so i have loaded several base maps and it will idle fine has issues from 1000-3500rpm, going from way lean to way rich and vice versa. after that it runs perfect. i think im missing something and need some insight, i dont think my MAP sensor is calibrated correctly. put the vacuum gauge to it and tried to calibrate it from something i seen on here but dont think i did something right. but i believe that is my issue unless you fellas think is something else. any ideas would be helpful
thanks

With the engine off, it should show 100kpa, ~20 kpa while decelerating while in gear...etc

I'm guessing you havent adjusted throttle on/off transitions yet?

What the ****? Ok, I wish everyone lived here so I could give them hangover assistance on their cars. But for now, you made me spell out WTF. Did you follow the instructions? BTW my engine has never showed above 86 KPA turned off with the smartest minds on this site (all 3 apparently) responding to my post.

Which one is it? With the car off it read around 43kpa. I'm going to start over from square one and see if I missed something, does the MAP have to be calibrated? If so what does it need to be set to? I've been told 5 different things. Thanks

Your **** is out of tune my friend unless you're living on a very tall mountain. How much pressure is in the atmosphere?

14.7 psi = 1 atmosphere = 101 kPa
If you're a bit elevated 100 kpa is standard atmosphere.

That aside if you recalibrate your map, your **** will get screwed up as the ecu will now read the true kPa instead of what it was tuned on and giving the set fuel/ignition.

Yes the map has to be calibrated, just as the throttle body position sensor, just as the water temp sensor just as the intake temp sensor. The kicker is that there are basic settings that are pretty true which you could use.

without the MAP being calibrated how will i be able to adjust the transient throttle? it needs to see a kpa reading and i dont believe my MAP is working properly. after calibration it never reads 100kps and running it jumps around from around 83 kpa to 43kpa. the only thing i can think of after calibrating over and over again is that maybe i have a bad sensor? I read on here someone had a similar problem swapped out sensor problem solved. without another MAP sensor to prove me worng im kind of dead in the water. My plan is to oay the $64 from diyautune and see if it fixes my issues.

I tried it last night. Seen 100 kpa with it on but not running.... Then right before I started it, it jumped from 34 to 100 to 89kpa. Let it settle to 100 and it would not start had to charge the battery. Try again today
