AEM FIC tuning 1.6 help
 

Hi guys, so i finally got the AEM FIC installed in my 91. The car fires right up but now i get a check engine light and im running lean. Im running around 10.9-11.1 as it states on my wideband. ive been researching on now to get the timing adjusted to 10 and getting the engine to idle at 800. The AEM forums are down so i cant turn and check their forum. Can anyone help me or lead me into the right direction on how to get the car to idle properly and stop running lean?

What other mods have you done to the vehicle (bigger injectors, intercooler, fuel pump, etc). Do you still have the MAF sensor connected? I have the AEM FIC as well and currently tuning out some minor issues. I can tell you when i first started my car, it would start and die because the fuel scale of my injectors (yellow top rx 8) were flooding the cylinders. Start by making sure all the tables are at 0.

I agree with the above. First we need to know if you are bypassing the MAF signal or not. Then you need to zero out all the timing and fuel maps to run the FIC straight through and make sure it runs the same as the car did before the FIC was installed.
