AEM 3.5bar vs. GM 3bar map sensor
#2
I had the AEM 3.5 bar sensor, and there's not a really an advantage to it. If anything it's sort of a disadvantage since the extra .5 bar gives you less resolution in the 16x16 map. The AEM sensors are physically nicer. They are really compact, made of metal, and come with the wiring harness. I ended up using the AEM 2 bar sensor in the end, but for the price difference I would recommend going for the GM 3 bar.
OR if you need a boost gauge, the PLX boost gauge and vacuum sensor is a 3 bar map sensor that has output to a standalone ECU. Lets you kill two birds in one stone. I already have the PLX gauge and sensor so when I need to go higher then 14psi, I'll just wire the PLX into my EMS.
