EMS-4 Bad MAP sensor?

I am trying to replace my existing MAP sensor going from the AEM 30-2131-75 (5 bar) to the 30-2130-30 (2bar). I put on the new sensor and changed the setting on the wizard for the new lower bar sensor, attempted to start and it would crank but not start. Not sure if it is a problem that I used the wiring that was already installed for the 5bar. Instructions for both have same wiring and the plug seemed to fit right in.

I reinstalled the 5bar and it started right up, even without readjusting the wizard setting (assuming it probably doesn't matter for starting, but would be noticeable during driving if wizard is not reset).

Do I just need to call AEM, or did I do something incorrectly?

So I did finally get to talk to AEM tech and they had me test some voltages at the sensor, which apparently showed the sensor was working. He then walked me through a couple checks of the calibration to check that changing to the 2bar setting had also made the changes in the map. After several checks everything seemed to be as it was supposed to be; unfortunately it still will not start. Waiting on follow up from the tech.

If I can't get this sensor to work just wondering if one of the GM sensors will suffice, or is there another one I should try instead.

Sorry, one more addition. When I first talked to the tech he noted that the green and black wires should produce 1.7 to 1.8 and the readings I got were like 2.8. Could that mean the sensor is faulty and cause my car not to start?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Any of the GM late maps that look similar will plug right in and just need the proper voltage curve put in. If you go to the sensor tab with the key on but the car off does it say something around 100kpa?

Finally got it started after two more calls to tech support this afternoon. First tech had me copy over some fuel and ignition data from the map that was working (still no start), and second tech diagnosed that the fuel cut level was way too low. It started good, but driveability blows. Now I get to experience the joy of tuning all over.

Big shout out to EB Turbo for fixing my MAP sensor issue. Apparently the AEM tuner program does not make all the appropriate changes when changing sensors. EB rescaled my map and modified settings that were not specifically programmed to change in the software with the wizard. Thanks EB, my car is back to normal.:bowrofl:
