Injector driver issue
 

I recently had issues with my AEM with the tachometer not working while applying quick blips of the throttle so I sent it in to be inspected. I purchased the box back while I was in Iraq(4 years ago) and just recently got around to installing everything. My question is this...the folks over at AEM received the box and updated to the most resent mod which they state fixed the tach issue. however the also stated "injector three is not functioning due to a damaged component on the main board." They want 500 bucks to fix it. Which in today's economy is a nice chunk of change. So please forgive my ignorance but couldn't I just use Injectors 5,6,7 and 8 on the ems?

$500 to replace an injector driver? Sounds like they want to replace the entire board inside the ECU.
