Strange issue v2.

So today I was going to do some work on my car and it got worse.

Basically last weekend I changed my CAS oring to get rid of the oil leak coming from it. When i did this i didnt have my laptop with me to sync timing but it ran just as it had before so i limped it home and parked it for the week.

Fast forward to now...
Today i go out with the laptop to sync timing and the car starts up REALLY weird... like it would barely idle and lope from 1000-2000. i check the timing and when i have it locked to 10 degrees it isnt even close to the timing marker at all! it seems like it is retarded a significant amount.

this is also the first time i have plugged the laptop in since getting a professional dyno tune.

If i sync timing on the crank to the ECU the car doesnt run any better, but it also doesnt run any worse.

i would load a log of the car idle and running but i cant load it here.

Any ideas?

My tune is still in there from the professional, and the afr's are the same.

Matt

flip your cas to the extremes and try running the car, see if you notice any improvement/degradation at idle.

+1.

Why can't you upload your calibration?

i sync'd timing and the car is fast again... same as before anyways.

so i was trying to determine my idle issues... either:
a) the tune for IACV is fucked and somehow changed when i went to plug in my tuning computer, or;
b) the IACV is clogged/damaged

when i unplug the IACV right now, there is no noticable difference in idle... both times sounds like i have some lope from cams or something...

i did hear a little backfire into the intake at one point... i cant rember if it was before or after this issue though. happened when cranking so i am going to say after this became an issue.

rafa, i tried uploading a cal and a log once before but it didnt work... i will try it in a second when my tuning computer has booted up.

Matt; glad to see the car is back to running normal again.

Idle is a bitch!

Send me a pm and I'll send you my email address. Maybe I can help you out. I'd like to see your idle settings. Start by checking the valve's frequency settings.

here is my tune and my log...(let me know if it worked)

before i sync'd timing....
timing was retarded ~6 degrees (i read that coarse timing adjustment is 4 degrees and fine is 1 degree)

so definately check timing when you change the CAS oring ahah...

you can see that the car was struggling in the log, the turbo would bareeeely spool.

i will get a comparison log soon.

idle issues still remain the same.
