Default Issues with the idle valve

I need some help from the AEM gurus.

I've been facing issues with my car's idle valve. It works properly for the first few minutes and somehow it stops responding after a while. I originally thought it had to do with some kind of heat soak but I'm not convinced that's the case any more.

If I park the car for a little while and then turn it on, it works fine for the first few minutes and then stops working again.

Can anyone tell me what may be going on?

Thanks

Open up the Parameters under the Idle menu.

Does the Idle position change at all?

Post your map up and I'll have a look at it.

Dustin, the map I sent you allows me to use the A/C while the car is not too hot and the only other issue I constantly face is when I decelerate and I'm coming to a stop. Quite often, the car will stall and shut off.

Thanks,

Mine does the same thing. Did you end up figuring this out?

No, I did not.

As I told you in my pm; a local mechanic suggested that I adapt a solenoid to control the A/C. I still haven't found one I could use.

I hate bringing up old topics, but I am having the same problem on my AEM EMS. I am working off the base calibration file adjusted for RC 550cc (3ohms). Everything is fine until the water temp gets around 150F. If I blip the throttle, it idles at 2100 rpm. Unplug the IAC, and it returns to a normal idle. I have sent a few PM's, but I was going to see if anyone had solved this problem? Thanks.

pm replied.

Connect to AEM PRO. Open the idle template. 2 tables called: "Idle Target Base table" and "Idle % vs Target Table" will appear.

I have my first one set at 1,000 rpms lowering to 900 once the temp reaches 190.

The other one (Idle %) is the one you have to play with.

Shoot me an email and I'll try to help you.

FWIW; I never had a problem with my car idling if I didn't turn the A/C on. It was that part I was originally trying to fix.

Did you setup the Idle % vs target table?

I had that problem, changing the Idle FB Below parameter from 1800 to 2500 solved it.
