Hey guys, I am in the middle of wiring up my aem wideband for my stock 92 1.6. I figured I'd wire in the wideband to the stock ecu and then switch over to my mspnp2 sometime this week. I have four wires, I know one isnt used at all(not sure of the color off the top of my head). I know black is ground and can be grounded right to the ecu bracket. I know red is a positive 12 volt source. Where can i splice in around the ecu and get power? also the fourth wire, the one I'm struggling with is the 0-5V signal. Where do I splice this wire into. My notion is that the wideband controller is going to be sending the afr to the ecu in place of the narrowband sensor. I have disconnected the stock sensor, plugged the new one in, and unclipped the old o2 sensor from the plug and left it alone. Thanks for the advice.

I'm assuming this is the AEM UEGO wideband. You'll want to use red, black, and white. Blue is for serial datalogging and you won't be using that.

Look at the wiring diagram for your car to find out which wire going to the ECU is for the o2 sensor and splice into that. You'll also want to use the "sensor ground" wire as your ground, don't just ground it to the ECU bracket.

You'll want to wire it, and set the wideband to Position 4 to emulate a narrowband. (I have no idea if this actually works. Most people run two o2 sensors in your situation. One for the stock ECU and the wideband for reference.)

I don't remember where I grabbed 12v from for the wideband but any switched 12v source should be fine.

Your stock ECU won't be able to interpret the signal it receives from the wideband. If you want to add a wideband while on the stock ECU you really need to add another bung to the exhaust, then just tap into a power and ground to power the gauge.

If you already have a megasquirt, it will have an options port on it and 3 of those wires will be power, ground, and O2 signal. You just connect those to the red (power), white (ground) and blue (O2 out) on your wideband.

In your situation it sounds like your best option is to just install both of them at the same time.

Awesome onyxyth. I did just that, i do have the uego and its on p4, car starts and drives. Mspnp2 will be installed soon enough.
