Securing Acrylic Window
Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but I figured I would tap the collective brain trust given all the experience here. I have another car where I am swapping in a vented 4mm thick acrylic window. I know most plastic windows are riveted, screwed, bolted, etc. That is not an option here. The window is going in a carbon structure - the OEM glass is generally installed with adhesive only.
Looking for experience using adhesives for acrylic windows. The boat and airplane forums offer a few options, including Dow Corning 795 and SCS2000 SilPruf. Any experience with these? Any thoughts on 3M Windo-Weld or 590?
Thanks.

I don't know of any "pre-formed" acrylic windows, and adhesive alone doesn't work worth a darn on flat plastic windows preloaded around curves.
Seems everyone that runs a plastic window uses screws for a reason even on carbon tops. It is a racecar correct?

I believe it is preformed...even has the black trim. Not a racecar.
