Wool tuft test on 3D printed Vortex Generator
 

I had always been a little sceptical about vortex generator. Are they just for show or do they actually work? Since one of my cars comes with them. I decided to test it along with other aero parts I made on my Turbo Pumpkin. I surveyed the contour of the hardtop, then designed and printed some VG base on the dimensions of the VG on my FK8 Type R. In the video you can see the wool tufts on the passenger side (with 3D printed VG) flow better toward the rear of the car compared to the ones on the driver side(without VG). So mystery is solved and the function is proven. Will work on improving the flow with slightly longer and higher versions of VG.

Nice clear results in the tuft testing! Are you up to sharing the file you printed? This seems like a easy thing to add to help feed the rear wing.
