Looks awsome Abe! I cant wait to slap it on my car ;D

Incredible work as always! Funny how you downplay your skill in some threads, but you make monkey work out of my "Tiggin." You couldn't lay a stack of shims that flat. :)
|
Does the manifold connect to turbo via v-band as well?
|
i going to bother you about my nb supercharger header for a long time after seeing these pics =D

Thanks. I do feel pretty good about my welds, but there's always room for improvement. So...how about a trade for an adaptronic  My 800CC Deatschwerks need a challenge! |
This is what I want, but with V-band everything. :)
ARTech = FTW |
Did you build that collector or buy it? Great looking manifold. Looks like a shorter differently pionted prettier version of mine
|
Do you warranty against cracking at all? Or could you build it with some bracing to prevent the weight of the turbo cracking it? Looking to hang a GT30 off it, if I were to get it, so there's a bit of weight there.

try MSC.net :loser: if you wanna leave your car here for a week, I'll give it a shot.

Nice design. I bet boost control will be very good with the WG there.

Local baller shit in here. I need to roll by your place for that master cylinder brace and I want hardpipes for my radiator hoses.

Yeah, I am not worried about the pipe cracking, I am worried about welds cracking. Never seen the pipe break, always seen welds break tho.
Abe and I talked a long time ago about building a brace/crane welded at the CHRA bolt flanges but I'm lazy and we never did it. I don't think its the weight of the turbo that causes cracking, its harmonics and mass. However shops like Full Race and AMS don't use bracing. Also, the shorter the runners, the less likely to crack from what I understand by people with bigger brains than me. |
Yes, this is all true, and his welds are stellar, don't get me wrong, I just wanna know if he stands behind his work. Even though he is an awesome fabricator, he WILL have a bad weld now and then, and I wanna know if he is willing to back it up if it happens.
Definitely not saying anything bad about the guy, I just wanna know, if I spend the money on this sexy manifold, and it cracks, am I SOL? |
Throw in a turbo and downpipe and I'll throw in a PNP loom :) My 800CC Deatschwerks need a challenge! This is what I want, but with V-band everything. Did you build that collector or buy it? Thanks for the reply! I knew most places would warranty it. Now, you said you were only doing these in mild steel, correct?
|
Ethanol, turbo that will support 300, spool not that important as long as it wakes up before 4000 and does SOMETHING (8k redline), also don't care about "hyper super cool blade aerodynamics" that decrease my outlet temp by 10*C at a 50% cost increase. IWG is preferred for simplicity, nothing fancy there as long as it will control boost agreeably without me having to do some insane things to the exhaust housing.
Reliable, journal bearing, early 90's technology turbo will do really! :) Best, Travis |

C'mon by. You haven't been here since our new concrete pad was poured. You can do donuts on my driveway now.
I'd like to get a couple little things made next month like the straight-pipe adjustment and a proper heat shield, maybe the MC brace too. |

I saw this manifold in person today. Stellar welds!!! It's beefy!
Abe built a straight exit exhaust and an intake for me. Whenever I pull my car out of storage, I'll post pics of his awesome aluminum intake he made. |
Any updates on my goodies Abe? =D
