The downpipe will bolt up to the turbo, and it might clear in the tranny tunnel. However, the flange for the exhaust will not fit. You might be able to get a local exhaust shop to make you one. Otherwise, you could send me the 1.6L downpipe and I can rework it to fit a 1.8L. They are very similar, but not exactly the same.
Thanks!

You *might* be able to get a custom cat pipe to fit. Either myself or Enthuza can make a 1.6L flanged inlet and 1.8L flanged outlet. Easy enough to adapt if the downpipe sits in the same location. Just a thought.....

yeah FWIW i had a 1.6L mild steel DP, bought a 1.8L stainless begi DP from another forum member.. it was a pain in the ass to install (Because i suck at this stuff) but it fit with no modification.

The only issue was my exhaust was a 1.6L exhaust so i simply had a shop cut off the DP-side flange from the cat and reinstall it at the right position.

the 1.6 dp definetly fits no issue at least for me and id say its about equally as hard to install remove. I just dont bother even putting one of those bolts in anymore that saved me quite some time.
