by the time the carburetors are running on this car, electronic fuel injection will be outdated and retired

....at which point he'll switch to fuel injection and we'll continue to poke fun of him

Nitrous setup looks great. Ive always been a fan of using those nylon lines with ferrules. Also, those distribution blocks look like they will actually give good equal distribution unlike those little blocks that make the nitrous make 90 degree turns.

Im sure it was probably mentioned at some point, but what is the plan for ignition?

Steam powered electric generator. And the timing is controlled by a series of pulleys and weights that detect load by acceleration forces effecting a ball moving through a curved tube of viscous fluid. It's state of the art for turn of the century internal combustion locomotives but it is well suited to competition horseless carriages utilizing nitrous well into the 1910's.

I have always and will continue to use Electromotive ignition. Not making any changes until the car is finished.

I was thinking more like a centrifugal govenor, but instead using its linkage to advance the distributor

You guys know I'm about to invent fuel transportation technology right?
Perfectly atomized compressed fuel, instantly in the combustion chamber at the moment of ignition, already lit. You just need to get the orientation of the tank and each cylinder to the ECU exactly right, then account for any engine movement

You guys are so ridiculous. How is all that going to work with my weight reduction goals?

Were thinking about this all wrong. Lose the engine. Solid rocket booster. 60ft wont be great but trap speed should be insane.

Hydrogen is lighter than gasoline, just saying. Figure out how.

To support the nitrous solenoid and keep the whole thing from drooping, I made this bracket.

Here it is installed. It could use a little whittling, but I can get to all the fittings and fasteners to tighten them properly.

Sleepers are the best!

Although the super nice fueling stuff kinda gives you away. Are there specific Miatas that look like that?

And those look more like high end porsh carbs than Austin Healy ones to me. I only got $20 on my car.

It started out as a Wilson Manifold fogger kit, but because the starter was in the way, I Frankenstiened it with parts from NOS and Speedtech.

I doubt this kind of system has ever been done on Miata.

My ruse would likely only work on the most naive and ego driven meatheads.
