Stock brakes right? I might have some calipers/brackets chilling in the garage somewhere (might be 1.6 brakes though...)

Thanks! I will make do for the moment, but let me know if you are going north of the Golden Gate any time. Otherwise I will probably pm you before miatagasm and buy them from you.

Seriously though, that brie covered with almonds and honey is about to go in the microwave and come out so good. Yummm!

That Bogle Old Vine Zin is pretty freaking good for being under $10!

Went to help a guy at Sears Point get his MS3 working today, NigelT referred him. He had a new fpr, ID1300's, e85 and a new MS3 all at once. There was also a custom IM with no IAC, so we had to adjust the screw the old fashioned way.
We got it starting and running pretty well, and Rev's base map, that was set up for this car was damn good. We just needed to increase fueling for the e85 and get the timing trigger setting right. We couldn't get the MS to read his wideband, it goes to his dash though and he has a couple other details to finish. I think he is having Andrew (Sav) tune it, but he needed to get it running. He has a pretty cool car even if it's supercharged.

@sonofthehill, Is that a welded S2 Honda manifold, or the vaporware Miata specific S2 one we've been waiting to turn up?

Me likey. I wish I had the dedication to build something like this, thanks for sharing

Is having the fuel cell in the passenger seat side common?

Its not UNcommon, I've seen this in quite a few dedicated builds. I would guess that it helps to offset the weight of the driver left to right, and lowers the center of gravity. Stock fuel tank sits way up there above the rear axle so dropping it down like that probably helps. Cell + mounts is also probably lighter than the factory steel tank too.

Yeah, that actually skeevs me out more than the tank.

So he told me the PO's name but I can't remember, 18 is likely correct, as it is a local car. The PO was a fabricator and made the manifold long ago. One of the upgrades was from MS1 to MS3, if that means anything.

The battery kind of freaked me out a little too. I had to give him a tuning cable to plug in and noticed that thing right away. The car was in a state of flux, and I am pretty sure he has a cover of some sort. I think he popped a fresh battery in just for that day.

Glad you guys enjoyed it too.

****! Hit a deer this morning. It came from in front of the car next to me. Luckily I was only going 35 and I almost stopped, but I hit it. It got up and ran away, and there doesn't seem to be any damage. It kind of freaked me out though because I thought it was a dog at first.

I hit a deer about 10-12 years ago in my miata. I was driving down to my parents house to vote that day. Was on a 2 lane highway out in the country. Had a big SUV riding my *** for some reason. I saw the deer start running in the field towards the street. I slowed down as much as I could without being rear ended buy the SUV, but it was not enough. The deer cleared most of my car except for the hind legs hitting my hood and driver fender. Had I been a foot further forward it would have gone through my windshield. I was so pissed at the deer, especially since it was not on the side of the road since I wanted to kick the **** out of it. I had my hood replaced from another accident, but the dents on my fender are still there to remind me that I ******* hate deer.
