Saving a Noble is noble. Props when I'm on a computer.

Is the issue with the WG can melty hot or did I misread? I saw some WG shields on Full Race that cover half or the whole thing to fix that issue.

I do run a heat shield on my wastegate can, just a piece of pie pan. My seals are different though, pretty sure you said you greased the shaft and bushing. I do have one more real dual port can, kinda saving it for when mine or Lars' dies as a quick spare.
I bet you could fit 2 washers with grommets in the middle instead of another brass bushing. Also, I use valve and faucet lube or grease.

Shaft is greased. Good moly stuff. Grease is still there, didn't get melty, so its not that hot.

I'll try a heat shield. Need to call turbosmart and see what they say. Probably that the shaft needs to be adjusted.

But @afm can attest that the shaft is very lined up.

Yes you do. Friday is Inter/Advanced only, just get out and drive. Sat/Sun is normal.

Want to go. But too expensive. And they wont let me instruct without some weird process. Unless you know people and can hook me up.

In the past you've had to go through the coach development day in the spring and get signed off to instruct. Now they're joining in with groups to do this online thing which is a thing, but as of yet doesn't determine who coaches or acknowledges a) one can drive and b) one can coach others on how to drive, safely, which are two important and entirely separate things. But there's a push to get these certifications so as instructors move between regions or between groups there's at least something to check.

I can't get you onto the coaching roster for this weekend but I could get you checked off for inter or advanced run group. You'll have to pay either way, sorry.

2 track days later.

Measured alignment. 2 thou out side to side. 7 thou up and down. I'm not sure I can get better than that...

Going to work on a heat shield, and contact turbo smart tomorrow.

I just read this thread from start to finish, over the course of 2-3 weeks whilst on break at work.

I feel like I've learnt a lot about what is possible to break, I'm quite surprised you haven't broken any PPF's as of yet

From what I gather you are doing all of this mainly for your own experience, you should consider coming to Australia as you wish to improve your burnout game.

EFR want is real

I need to fly to the US and buy all my gear, I'd rather smuggle it back and pay for flights than Australian import duty.

I've got some family in Australia with some pretty good burnout game. Hoping to visit for my honeymoon next year.

Just watch out if you're driving here - fixed speed cameras everywhere.
30kmh/18mph over the limit and insta-loss of license

Also Kangaroos if you're driving through back-roads at night... many a car have been written off due to Kangaroos jumping into them down here...
Even the animals are F*****
