Chris took it apart and found that the loctite that is supposed to be on the thread was barely present. Tractive is warrantying the work through us, so it will all be covered.
The o-ring needed for the shaft should be here on Wednesday or Thursday. Once it's wrapped up, I'll let you know.

Its so clean, it makes me feel dirty...
Parts going off to powder coating. Spindles and control arms are down below the valve covers and intake manifolds.
Hood vent: Bronze to match wheels.
Spindles and control arms: Red
Tow hooks: bronze
I also got this idea rolling around in my head to build a cargo rack for the trailer hitch. Plan is to hold one of the 35 gallon rubbermaid lockable containers on the back for camping gear/tools. Maybe strap some more stuff on top of it too.
Deciding between steel and aluminum, need to do price and strength comparisons.

Good to know. I need to figure out what the tongue rating is on this no name hitch. I'd like to at least carry a couple hundred lbs back there.

Not bad. But I can get one of the 35 gallon (4.6 c/ft) rubber maid boxes for $60 on amazon. Then some square tube and angle iron to make a platform for it.

No and NO. You'll appreciate that the metal box locks--keeping the amateurs out, and also that it only bends into an ugly mess when road debris hits it. Rubber--especially cold rubber--likes to crack and tear, especially when the crowbar inside decides that it wants out.
