I'm pretty scared about breaking this 1000 dollar torsen. I'm still not sure what my plan is, I might find a 4.1 for cheap somewhere.

I don't need a drag miata. I decided today that I want to buy a short bus and put a turbo LS in it New future drag car.

Why scared of torsen? Stay away from the strip and I'd bet you'll be fine.

You are still on stock rubber bottoms right? Those crown looking things? Wouldn't that let the diff bounce off those peaks like a mother?

I <3 so much my torsen and poly mounts, sometimes hard to tell it's loose, but I'm on panzy nitto neo-gens.

Yes, but a cheap easy delrin solution doesn't exist for those. I might need to make my own. And The delrin upper mounts should do something though. I also think that my control arms are flexing too. Im going to launch easy from now on at the drag strip but I don't want that to be a permanent thing.

I'll take one of whatever this has, plus some coolant.

miataroadster sells a complete delrin diff bushing kit that has the "tophats", lowers, and the new plate for the bottom. I put these on my car in conjunction with the AWR/goodwin/supermiata metal/poly engine mounts and both wheel hop and my jumping shifter have been completely eradicated.

MiataRoadster Delrin solid differential mounts kit - MiataRoadster - High-performance customer service...and parts for Roadsters

The problem is, they ain't cheap.

The problem isn't just that all those mounts are expensive... It's that it turns your whole car into a giant *****.

Yeah, not seeing a problem with that...

Sean, yes please. I only need the lower part, already have the upper. Or tell me how you do it and I can try on the lathe, I'd rather learn how.

I actually bought some AWR mounts, then realized that 1.6 and 1.8 mounts were different. So not wasting money on 1.6 mounths.

ive never really looked at them the one time i had it apart, but isnt it as simple as burning the rubber off the lower metal piece, and turning something to fill the gap?

I could always lend you my energy suspension poly one, and you can measure it and copy it in delrin.

No they don't. You're thinking motor mounts.

FM has solid metal mounts for $50 less than the MR delrin mounts as well. $100 is a decent price.
