Made it home. And promptly got this running. Rob did most of the work. I just stick metal together and point at ****.

Cannot wait for some spark cut launch control. Should be boosting tomorrow. I have a bit of intercooler piping to weld and then it will be good to go.

I really wanted one of @TheBandit's baller coolant inlets, but I realized this build is supposed to be about building the best things I can make with what I have. Not buying the best parts, and I feel like I've left that path a bit. So I busted out the welder and came up with this. I'm very happy with the welding. It was full of grease and took some careful heat management to keep from blowing out the fitting.

Some of the best material prep I've seen in some time. I especially like that you couldn't even be bothered to remove the hose.

Ultrasonic cleaner? They're pretty cheap these days.

Gives me something to grab onto it with when it's toasty

If you look at the finished picture I actually cleaned the weld area really well. Acetone, wire wheel, etc etc.

I can't believe you are still messing with old Ford trucks to go offroad.

The answer is always Miata.

Now that's how you break axles.

Obviously they swapped a set of these into it. No problems. Maybe you should consider the same on that poor Ford of yours.

You need to build one of these, Aidan.

7500# in axles alone. You won't snap one of those in that driveway.

That same lift kit works great on an Exocet, too.

I did a thing today. Snagged this off @acedeuce802

Going to do my own backing plate. And hopefully squeeze a boost gauge on the left, and AFR gauge on the right.
