It's a running joke how slow I am through those corners. That's all. I don't expect him to actually be faster than me.

I think I want to move out of novice for the next day. Following someone who actually knows what they're doing could be fun.

Get a ride along with someone who knows what they are doing, or even better, get them to drive YOUR car and ride along as the passenger. This helped me immensely to understand the limits of my car.

A good buddy of mine who is an instructor at our local track did this for me the 1st and 2nd track day I ever had. Watching him corner and exit 20 - 30mph faster than me was very eye opening. I highly suggest it as well.

What is the magic trick to matching the data with the video? Because it took me forever, just listening for the BOV and watching the boost gauge. lol. and trying to guess the starting line for the gps data.

I pick an apex that I can see in the data and the video and match them up. Or a start finish line.

Aidan, who was your instructor? Did they not approve you for intermediate next time around? Have you received your report card from your instructor yet? That'll show you if you're approved to bump a class.

OK he will approve you to graduate then. You'll get an email (if you haven't already) where you can view your report card.

Unless they've changed how they do things since last September.

Maybe you entered your email incorrectly? You should have had a couple of emails, and you should be getting an email from drivingevals.com. That's where you'll get your results.

Could use some help diagnosing my friends car.

Stock 1.6, no ducting, new oem radiator. Coolant reroute.

Yesterday I ran with only a top cooling panel and a panel between my bumper and radiator, under my intercooler. No side ducting no undertray. I have a CXRacing intercooler. I never peaked over like 190. He was boing coolant out all day. Had to skip the last session.

Is it just his radiator? Could there be a head gasket issue? On the second session his temps were fine, then right on the last lap his gauge started to fluctuate up and down. We pulled the radiator cap and he had lost a ton of coolant out of the overflow, but it didn't get really hot before that.

What coolant mixture and how long has it been since the coolant system was touched?

If it was opened (new radiator or something) recently they might have a bunch of air trapped in the head due to not burping it quite enough. That would be my first random *** guess. I dunno doe.
