I was going to ask, what is it? looks like the schmoo that comes out of an engine after its pumped all the coolant into the crankcase. You tasted it right?

I'm guessing its because of all the rain and condensation lately.

Good guess. On that note, wouldn't worry about it. Probably happens on DDs all the time, but goes unnoticed as a water injection system.

Yeah, you'd think that but there's nothing stopping you from going out there and just opening shop and taking some business that way. Unless they net more than 180k a year, nahh.

I used to see shops for sale pretty often, 9 times of ten they are busted up and auctioned off. The customer log isn't ever worth what they think it is. It's part of the reason I moved on from my last job, boss man made it big and checked out. Basically told me verbatim he gave zero ***** any more, and would sell out or even break the whole lot up for the right price. Fishing, hunting, and golf 5 days a week.

Right price never came, but lots of his business isn't his business any more.

Check practical machinist forum for bunches of old grouchy machinists/shop owners. Don't post, because they're worse than we are when it comes to tolerating general stupidity from lack of experience, but it's a massive lot of serious machining experience.

Money no object/winning the lottery I would love to move to a middle of nowhere town and run my own machine shop. I just know I wouldn't be profitable.

Ordered the pressure sensors linked earlier.

Will be connected to Second EGO and JS4. Second EGO requires no conditioning, JS4 will use this circuit:

I will also build the circuit for JS5 (pullup for oil temp)

CANH/L, Flex, JS4/5, Second EGO, Ext Map, Spare ADC, PT4, Vref, Spare GNDs, will be pulled to my spare output connector. I'm running out of room in there so hopefully I can get this all out.

Don't be so sure.
You just need to find the right clients.
The orthopaedics company I work for is in a relatively small town, and it and the two other major ones are worth Billions (B capitalized on purpose).
We have in house machine shops, but they can's always keep up with demand, and lots of work gets outsourced.
Just find the industry, and the work will follow.

I should have clarified. Its not the machine shop I'm worried about. Its the machinist

@18psi

You used the map sensor I'm looking at years ago on your adaptronic. Any issues ever? (besides the wrong pinout?)

Alright I think I'll get it.

I'll run it as the baro sensor for a while, see what happens. Also I can set up a MAP sensor check on the MS that will put the car into limp mode if it drops too fast or goes flat. So I can log how fast it drops in normal operation and set those parameters.

They are all built on the same actual freescale processor, its just the housing.

Who do you work for?

Zimmer? Stryker? Biomet? Or a smaller company?

Oh sorry. Which of the 10 topics in this page alone would you like to discuss?
Let's talk about Vlad's cloudy memory.
18PSI, how many pots have you smoken in California?

That reminds me; you should put the link to your Google doc in your sig. Otherwise; it will soon be nearly impossible to find.

You guys need to learn to search. I can find any part of my build in less than 2 minutes usually. But I like that idea.
