I think I read last night one piece non abs axles don't have the machined groove for the rings.

But if I'm wrong I'm not using them

Damn it: https://www.miataturbo.net/suspension-brakes-drivetrain-49/axle-differences-66318/#post1120064

Are the 1 piece axles any better? Deezums, did you want to trade? Or do you just have them laying around.

I'd rather two piece so you don't have to split suspension to remove them.

I'm kinda using the ones I have now, but wouldn't mind swapping them too much. You don't have your old 2 piece axles still do you?

I do. If you go back a couple posts you can see the chocolate that came out of them, but I could clean them up and regrease them. I'm pretty sure the 2 piece have a machined groove though, so I could just put a tone ring on. Again, are 1 piece any better? Maybe I'll just save them as spares.

More clearance for exhaust is about the only thing I can think of, might be lighter. If you have two piece ones I'd hold onto them, I guess remans are all one piece and one piece is hard to install.

Guess I'll buy some extra axle nuts. I'll be switching to the one piece axles with the new diff, then probably back to the 2 piece when I do abs.

I will gladly ship you tone rings for the cost of axle nuts, when the time comes...

Non-mustache related update: currently on the way to the auction car to pull the diff.

After this diff install I might have time to do ducting before the Thursday track day but I doubt it. Luckily it is forcast to be a high of 74.

Will post auction car pics soon.

GF does not like singular hood vents. GF does not like mustache rides.
GF is not wife material.

Nothing against mustache rides, Tue rest of the mustache life she was against. Grad pics are soon too...

Instead of singular hood vents I have a hood vent that's about 10 times cheaper and I get to help an up and coming fab guy get off the ground. Win win win IMO
