I know i just dug it out of the file for him.

Wouldn't shipping be cheaper and easier?

No, because I have to go cut it. I can use the vinyl cutter, but I can't have someone do it for me.

I actually just tapped these by hand, no pockets for nuts on these ones.

I figured out my mill had issues. I thought I had low air pressure and the endmill/toolholder just didn't get all the way up in the collet on a toolchange, thought the drawbar was weak or something.

Turns out the belleville washers just backed themselves loose or something, or the r8 collet was spun hard. I yanked another endmill out of the collet on the same stepped climb mill pass before I figured out what the **** was happening.

By the time I had it under control I was in pissed off mode and ready to sleep. I'll mill pockets on the next batch, I think it'll even be faster if I use 3/4 barstock. Whatever I do I need more material, though.

Sean, I could still use spacers although I was going to try and mill a set tonight for the hell of it.

Here's my plan, pretty simple.

Perfect, no need to flip. I'll get on it soonish. Do you have a deadline?

Nah, no deadline. I might still mill me a temporary set tonight. That full depth cutting will give me something to push on so I can tell if I've really got this ****** fixed without trashing more brake brackets.

Read above moron. Unless you plan on running VICS on your VVT motor, you don't need yours.

Take a chill pill broski. When I read that I only saw bracket. Weird. (just checked the time stamp, I was reading during my second morning poop, still not fully awake) Thats why I asked about the solenoid. We have an actuator.

I'm doing most of this away from the car, and only having worked on a 1.6 before.

Will finish the ignition harness tonight, and try and start it when the dash harness shows up tomorrow.

If successful I think the plan is AR on saturday for alignment, glass sometime, and maybe even a tune on sunday.

Going to double post this in Ed's thread too. I only asked about t he VICS plumbing because I know sean and deezums are master spoonfeeders.

Dude I got him straightened out, no worries. It's confusing. He will probably end up taking my VICS manifold when I put my square top on....... unless the square top doesn't give us more power, in which case it'll be up for sale. Project for several months from now.

In other fun news, discovered that the house were moving has a kick *** landlord!

Property owner is an awesome old guy, who is really happy that someone who is actually using the space is moving in. I've started working directly with him instead of going through the property management company. He also is old friends with the mailman so I think we got the address thing figured out.

He has a duece and a half and he said I could come over and drive it sometime. And if I evenr needed help on a project to call him up and he would come see if he could help.

You need to keep that to yourself, because it could be a problem if someone wanted it to be. I would never ever mention it again. I've done my research on the subject, loose lips sink ships.
