You have not realized your own time is valuable yet.

You need to be inside giving the fiancée the long stroke till she goes to nursing school instead of out in the garage working in cars. You will be competing against HAWT RICH doctors soon.

Lol.

Also in other news. I've been bottoming out my control arms on the body and subframe. Bumpstops are there.

Delrin ftw?

Going to trim the body.

I've seen that before but not with that exact setup, which worries me since it's 100% identical to mine. I can check my clearance next time I take my springs off. Both sides of the car?

Emilio would shame you for mentioning spring rates with respect to travel issues

Just one. But I hit that side harder at ORP.

Spring rates shouldnt matter yes, but I like to get all of the information out there.

I'm going to trim the body and put some paint on the arms. I doubt I'll hit curbs hard enough at Laguna though.

ORP has some ~4-5 inch drop offs that you can slam into if you hit the wrong line.

So don't hit the wrong line? I don't understand if you are driving flat out you should always be on the perfect line. People will get out of your way as they know you are driving a miata which is the perfect car and you can do no wrong.

It runs. Currently working on the NA to NB hood mod. I got a purple NB hood so when people see me coming up in their rear view mirror they know to get out of the way because I am royalty.

RLCA bent a bit maybe?

The red curbs behind the MotoGP curbing at Laguna are control arm bombs.

Thats a possibility, but I doubt it.

I'm pretty sure you just like building ****. It helps that you're a cheap *** but even with that aside, I think you'd build stuff anyway.

I've seen you at the track. "Yeah I built this, held up to dual driving just fine!"

Gleefully awaiting someone to recommend longer springs in that control arm thread.

Hard to tell from the pic but it doesn't look like crazy contact. A little trimming would probably work. If anything you could touch up the paint and see if it was a one time deal.

Stiffer springs have already been recommended. I really think that unless they are like 2000# springs they wont stop the car from bottoming out.

Depends on how hard it is hitting. If the control arm is stopping the travel that is a nasty impact.

Delrin is just too slippery I guess.

I know it did, and that's a great source of pride for you because you built it. It's a source of pride for me that my car has held up as well as it has... but I didn't build anything, just put it together, with help. ha.

I was thinking more along the lines of 4k. If you can compress them at all they aren't stiff enough!
