Thanks Martin. Can't wait for laz to be back out there.
I'll have some video up later today. Got all my sessions recorded and have some footage of my fast lap and also some play time with Oregonmon.

when I have more time with the car. With building greta's engine (twice), pulling my nb2 motor, resealing Richards oil pan with a welded NPT bung, and of course Letty, I have no time for Smurf, much less driving or even track days. Had a chance to do a 8/6 enduro at PIR in April, but the motor blew.

Also, anyone who was behind me can tell you about the crazy amount of smoke coming out of my car on up shifts, and flames on downshifts. I think that the new catch can I added isn't flowing enough. Going to pull it off and confirm though.

No time/$$$
Both my motors need a rebuild. Which means rods. Which means pistons. Which means BE pump....
The list never ends.

I have 2 VVT motors in my garage. $1200 is halfway to an engine build. Also can buy a dirt bike. Or new dirt bike stuff. Or some of a ring.
Car drives. Makes boost. Rotella is $15 a gallon. Burning oil is the least of my concerns.
There is literally no reason to put in another engine besides a built VVT motor.

1. Sell 1.6 stuff for profit (minus labor)
2. Install/wire VVT with stock header. Make only 30 less hp and probably more torque than current 1.6t setup.
3. Build 2nd VVT while trashing other VVT. Use VVT in car for manifold mock up.
4. Install built VVT and turbo stuff.
5. Sell used and abused VVT.

My "good" VVT came out with rod knock. So it needs a bottom end anyways.
Also I'm really trying to not spend money on the car right now. Hailey leaves for school sometime next year hopefully and I will dive into it then.

Really no reason to dig into this 1.6 (or to do the VVT swap now for that matter). The car runs damned good and is reliable. Keep running it til you can comfortably build it right. I think you're very much on the right track.
Would really like you to get about 200-220 whp on track though. I think that would make us even on the straights, so we could have more fun dicing it up on the track.
