Did more t5 measuring.

It's gonna get weird trying to fit the twin disc on.

Fingers crossed those prototype discs work out well and I can plead my case with Emilio and see is they can make t5 discs too.

But the input shaft is real close. I'll try and draw it.

Custom T5 discs, no. No chance we will pursue that. Sorry.

Ah dang. I didn't expect any r&d. Was just hopeful whoever is making your new discs would be able to work with me. But if sources/manufacturers need to stay private I understand.

I worked with PTT a bit, but I don't think they can make a thick enough disc for me. I'm going to try clutch masters next. I have heard they can put a new center spline in a disc.

Worst case scenario I have to ditch the twin disc but it is seriously the best modification I've ever made to the car. And don't want it to go.

Found myself an extra set of organic discs to try and recenter.

Also got backpurging setup.

I checked both my heads for leaky valves. The best one has 3 valves that seeped a little bit.

Stripped that head down to go to the machine shop. Will be attempting to diy lap the valves when I get everything back.

lap valves does nothing, waste of time. Have the machine shop fix it, they will have a way to grind the seats/valves to get them sealing properly.

If the prototype does not work out...

There should be no need to custom build driven disks If you are OK with a race disk for a Ford T5. Tilton and Quartermaster both make multidisc race clutches in 7.25 diameter. Both offer replacement disks (metallic and/or ceramic). Both sell into the V8 race market so torque capacity should be no issue… You will have to ensure these disks work with the 949 flywheel, floater and clutch cover.

7.25” 2-plate Ceramic
7.25" 2-Plate Cerametallic Clutch Disc Packs - Tilton Engineering
7.25” 2-plate Metallic – several centers are offered including an offset hub, spline count, transmission input shaft diameter, …

Their web site seems to be under construction with several dead links…

Jegs and Summit both sell Quartermaster replacement driven disks off the shelf… product descriptions are limited so you may have to contact Quartermaster for info.

good luck...

I specifically want organic discs which are a bit harder to find. If I was okay with metallic or ceramic discs I could just go to comp clutch and order two discs for a 93 Mustang. I think I should be able to find someone to put new centers in the discs. It's just big *** rivets.

Ordered a 7 bar map sensor today....lol

MPX5700AP Freescale Semiconductor - NXP | Sensors, Transducers | DigiKey

Its the only sensor greater than 3bar that is "plug and play" with the usual megasquirt sensor. And its quite a bit cheaper than the map daddy kit.

Random side story. I met a guy who was a nuke in the Navy with a diesel VW. He wanted to make it a 200mph car so he had dumped god knows how much money into it. He had that boost gauge and was running 60+PSI on the car.
