Yeah. And the stock grommet is weird and just connects to the speedo cable

Hole is 30mm if anyone is curious

Those kind of plastic plugs suck and won't seal. I think they are meant for furniture feet at the ends of square steel tubing legs.
Try caplugs, I think, ask them for a free sample for sadfab.

If that's a no go, how about 2 small plates with some sealant, a hole in each, a screw and a nut.

Do you want a grommet or just to seal the hole?

I'll probably pass some wires through. I can always just use some duct tape too.

I was going to try cap plugs.

I would also try a huge grommet since the corners are round.

Actually a huge grommet would probably work

Ugh that's something I need to do, plug my firewall holes. Keep on forgetting about that. Copied you and bought a square plug.

I think those should fit. Hole is 30mm square. Which is like just over a 1-5/8 circle.

How about butchering a speedo cable?
I bet the local pick n pull, yer part or whatever has some cool solutions in some different cars firewalls.
How about 2 plates with sealant, 4 small holes for screws and a big hole in the center for a round grommet of your choice. It would need to be thick, I am thinking a junk yard again.

A round grommet with 4 wires through it and a little sealant would work pretty well.

I butchered a speedo cable. Didn't like how it turned out.
