Maybe I missed it, where's the waste gate(s) going?

im throwing a shield in front of the brake and clutch reservoirs, and also I might throw one on the bottom of the hood, and around the bottom of the air filter.

one single 44mm gate with a true split passage up to the valve will sit basically between cylinder 1 and the turbine scroll, pointing down and kind of forward.

Now lets see if I can tac up the rest of my system today, I'd prefer to do all the welding for everything at the very end.

Didn't quite get as much as I wanted done today, but I did tack up my hot side intercooler piping and some of my downpipe.

What do you use to bevel your pipe?

Hundreds of hours on a belt sander.

I always wondered how toxic did his so nice until I also had hundreds of hours on it.

exactly. Quality of the bevel and the fitment, as well as good cleaning and a good purge is literally 80% of the battle in laying nice welds.

Honestly, I have a very hard time believing anything he says. Go ahead, give him a call. See if he talks over you the entire time. See if he answers your question the first time you ask it.

Got some major bad vibes just talking on the phone with him. Then when I give him constructive criticism, he says he doesn't want our business anyways. That is spoken like someone who ISN'T in business. I was interested in a full inconel exhaust.

There are much better, more professional welders out there, with real engineering backgrounds. I'm following one of them on instagram, he is currently practicing welding inconel, which is very difficult. The guy says he has about 1000 hours left to go before he is comfortable and confidant in his welds.

Comments like the one above keep me from wanting to share any info. I won't bother defending myself, I just don't care.

If you are going to be in business, you need to grow some thicker skin. Most of us dont care what one forum member has to say, we (I?) look for a pattern(no hard feelins Marcello). Maybe your phone was fuked, whatever. Just post some pics and **** and stop with whatever you call this /\

...please...

I've welded inconel, I don't think it's that big a deal, it flows better than stainless. The welds from my manifold to the flange are Haynes 230-W.

this has been bugging me so I'm putting this idiot on blast.

This guy calls me, and asks if he can have the lightest weight, best flowing, but still completely quiet exhaust system ever.

I take my time out of my very busy day to explain what his options are. This took more than a couple minutes, which clearly weren't valued when you consider I charge 100$ an hour for my very valuable time. I educated this man on exhaust systems, literally, as he didn't understand one single thing I explained. I took the time to explain how typically a quiet system doesn't flow too well, and a flowing system typically doesn't quiet too much. I explained a possible option would be to put two very large straight through mufflers out back. His response was something along the lines of how he didn't know if he liked that, with a very skeptical tone of voice. Then I explained how there are other options, such as valvetronic systems, and how I could whip up a number of different combinations for him. After what must have been an hour long phone call, which I truly kindly gave away my time for, this guy goes on to say how he thought I could just make it without his car there. He said something like "wait you need my car?? Huh?"

major or bad vibes???? You're one of the first person who has EVER said that about me. I spend time meditating every day. I practice manifestation. I am spiritually enlightened and awakened. I believe in karma, and I seriously don't **** with it. I hold doors open for everyone, give out favors for everyone.. I give out advice to those who ask, and anything I can do to help people I do.

And you ******* say this to me?????

then he turns around and acts like this. Why? Because I told his ******* buddy to go **** himself. Now literally he is trying to make me look bad? Dude do you think I care what you think at all?

What a ******* *****. Seriously dude, **** you, ******* *******. You owe me an hour for my time.

Then he smashes my work, when he literally doesn't know a thing. You think welding Inconel is hard?? Who the **** is this guy you're referring to who still needs 1000 hours to feel confident? 1000 hours???? That's more time than I practiced total to when I was Learning to be able to lay straight dimes, full penetration, no bs. Inconel is Mildly harder than stainless, same with titanium. You just have to know how to control your heat, and use proper gas coverage.

I don't need to prove myself. I set up THE FIRST high performance exhaust manufacturing company the Middle East has ever seen, completely by myself. That's designing, prototyping, testing, setting production up on, training employees, quality control, general managing, and talking to every customer who walks in. Bullet performance had over 20 employees by the time I came home, they now are making over 1 mil per year profit.
I did that by myself. Sounds like the work of a real idiot huh?
I'm sure you're a real expert in the world of manufacturing, engineering, and the likes. We all really appreciate your insight, thank you so much.

Not a real engineer you say? This gets me the most angry. First of all, you idiot, please google the definition of engineer. Maybe you meant degree holding. Second, I made a very ******* conscious choice to not go to school for engineering and do things on my own. Why you ask? Because for me, it works better. I can't believe for a second that school would have done the same as these years have. Keep in mind, I have aggressively trained myself, covering areas like machining, manufacturing, welding, production, managing, blueprint writing, 3D modeling, and all the other things a REAL engineer should be able to do. 90% of degree'd engineers would get ******* schooled by my me in the real world. That's not exaggerating, it's true. I'm not calling engineers stupid, they're not, and there's some things they know I don't. I have a lot of engineer friends and they all laugh at how little school did for them when we talk for the most part though. Most engineers don't even understand how the machines that are making the parts they model on their computer even work, leading to parts that cannot be made (real experience from my time as a machinist)

You want to keep going? What a ******* *****. Don't you ever call me to ******* waste my time on the phone ever again. To think, all I ever did for you was take time out of my day, so very ******* kindly, to educate you completely on something you were trying to buy from me. You're so ******* stupid I spent 4 times longer than I needed to simply repeating myself. Please go **** yourself ok.
