So I clamped off my BOV and my partial throttle whistle went away, so I'm guessing this a thing normally for miatas? Or just case by case, guess I'll need the stiff BOV spring?

Mine did not do that, how does the diaphram look? If you want to try a different spring/diaphragm I'll send you the ones I took off at no cost.

That's normal for mine. The turbo is making boost, but the manifold is under vacuum.

How did you wire in your EBC? I want to install mine shortly, but want to make sure I don't need to mess with the megasquirt too much.

Aka I'm being lazy and need to double check brains instructions. So... I wouldn't be too offended if you told me to **** off lol.

Diaphragm looked perfect. I just think the spring can't keep it sealed. It would be great to have a few options to try out. PM me when you can!

Is it damaging? Even if it isn't, it is a damn annoying sound

**** off...
I tapped off a 12v in the engine bay, ran the ground wire to MS signal port, which is just BOOST on my MS3 basic. Set it up with searching...ramensoup's thread with savington and Aidan's info.

With 300-350whp (future goals) and decent airflow (mouth sealed 85% to intercoler sealed to radiator with hood vents) should I just buy the crossflow or save $100 and go with a CSF?

Oops, a street car that is driven fairly hard. Sprints of WOT spread out for like 5-15mins in the canyons and long and repetitive power pulls when having funs, but lives 90% of its life under 4krpm.

100% get the crossflow "supermiata" radiator. Its also a CSF unit. Or are you talking about getting the TSE rad over the 949 crossflow?

Was talking about the CSF 949 carries versus their crossflow.

I want something that I won't have to replace while staying budget oriented. I think the supermiata crossflow is what I should get then

For the price of a Koyo he could get the crossflow.

I got the Koyo, but only because I practically stole it from the vendor, due to a pricing mistake, and 949's crossflow either wasn't quite out yet or wasn't in stock. If I were choosing today, I would buy 949's, no question. The Koyo is fine, and is working great for me in my current N/A state, but 949's is future-proof.

949 cross flow is about 70 more than I paid for a new koyo.

Honestly... Less of a difference than I anticipated.

Hi, no real update as money has been elsewhere but miata has been great. I did some ducting to the mouth->intercooler and sealed to the OEM engine shield under the intercooler. Changed from creeping +1* on freeway every mile or so, to ~200-205* at 70mph.

Coolant temps on my stock radiator takes some care on street driving..as in, any type of WOT/full boost should be followed by some easier driving for 2mins or so. Im getting a crossflow, no doubt. But I wanted to ask, 1 OEM fan, so no rear sealing to fan besides stock, probably more than enough for street car at 200-250whp, what about 300-450whp?

With hood vents, should I plan on sealing (with cooking pan!) With a single decent spal for +20psi?
Rather have my cooling be bulletproof for the future than not.

Especially when I go 7163

Cookie sheet makes it worse. Fans are for idling in traffic only. At speed it's just airflow through the rad.
