Individual runner widebands? If so, was it useful for tuning- did you find variances between cylinders? I have two egt sensors for that purpose.

Yes, 4 LC-1s and 4 EGTs. Yes, there were variances but only slight. Tuned out using the MS2s individual cylinder trim tables.

At dyno shop now. AMA mtorsports.

Had a few mechanical issues so far- IC hotside coupler, pcv valve, plugs being shitty (don't use ngk race), wastegate signal port leaking, wastegate signal hose leaking.

Motor is ok though, compression is fine, knock is low.

Tuning on wastegate now, at 15psi seeing around 300hp. Haven't touched timing.

15psi you're at 300whp with a base timing map?

NICE

Woops haha that was 300hp with timing. I was just ******* with you.

Here is a dyno plot:

Name: Oqemc.jpg
Views: 15
Size: 1.01 MB

If you notice the oscillation, that is actually my ******* TIAL gate oscillating. That bastard is supposed to be rock solid but instead, it is oscillating between 6psi and 18ish psi. And that is with a 15psi spring inside, no EBC, no MBC, just the wastegate signal port looped to the compressor housing.

I will call Tial in the morning and ask them what the ****. Will also do a wastegate pressurization test (pressurize the signal port, see if it leaks). I am also concerned it could be signal line to my hydra and boost gauge but worked fine before...

The experience actually kind of sucked and out of 5 hours of expensive time we only had like half an hour of useful tuning. Here is a list of all the lovely problems that showed up on the dyno and the fix for each:

1. super awesome plugs recommended by Jeremy @ FM blowing out and misfiring That problem cost me about 2 hours or something ridiculous. (bought NGK platinum, gapped em to .20)

2. Compressor housing "downpipe" to IC inlet pipe hose busting loose. I will blame BEGI for this one since the compressor pipe is 2" and the IC pipe is 2.5 inch. I went through 3 shipping exchanges on this and it was sorted out. (AMS had a 2-2.5 coupler)

3. Fucked up the aluminum threads in my valve cover for my factory COPs (I will have to unfuck this myself. Tap?)

4. blew off the pvc hose where it attaches to the plenum (clamped the bastard on)

5. blew off some stupid vacuum cap on my plenum (ziptied the fuckshit on)

6. my AC/PS belt jumped ship (put the sonavabitch back on)

7. stupid tial gate oscillating (???????)

8. Out of the whole month of November, today was the day for rain. Rain on the way to the dyno, rain on the way home from the dyno. ******* lovely. So much for never driving my car in the rain again.

Other notes:

Did not tune VVT
No WI
No tuning on MBC
No launch control
No gear based retard
No time for any of the above

I am scheduled to go back next Wednesday.

Oh and here is a dyno pic.

Sorry, no 400hp yet. At least my engine is solid though. That was my greatest fear.

I don't know what it was exactly at that peak. Let's just say 15 because that is what the dumb gate is supposed to be doing.

don't you have logs to see what the boost was? there's quite a difference between 15 and 18. I'm so persistant cause I want to kinda/sorta guesstimate my current power level since I'm around 14.5psi. Setups are kinda sorta similar but I'm on e85.

I don't like the torque drop. Also are you still on the stock COPS?

Unfortunately the hydra log resoluation is not htat super but I will see if I can get the logs for that pull or I will make a fresh steaming log just for you.

The torque is taking a **** but the boost is also assploding and my fuel is also probably not correct because it was freaking out sigh.

I am on stock 01+ COPS. Will pick up a fresh set of wires and coils (maybe) before next dyno session. I think I may get a nice near-new harness too or take my harness apart to see if there are any wiring problems. On two of the pulls it sounded like I dropped to 3 cylinders above 5000rpm.

I wonder if you are getting spark blowout? I don't know how good the stock COPS are but you might want to look next into a better spark solution.

.
The boost oscillating and fuel being not perfect has nothing to do with your torque dropping.

As I've told you before:

Which makes no sense.

Your turbo is outflowing your stock manifold and stock cams up top. They are now a restriction.

Smoothing out the boost and dialing in good afr's won't magically make your torque curve stay flat to redline. Upping the boost won't either.

I hate to say it (lol not really), but I told you so

Still,
great power/torque for not running tip top and it can only get better.

Too rich or lean will lose power so yes the afrs do matter.

Bah humbug. I will see what I can get. Will stick with my current IM and cam for now.

too rich wouldnt make you loose that much torque. where is the boost source? why didnt you log...a quick check of a log could easily see if your boost is sagging like your mom's ****.
