That was the most fail video I have ever seen.
I'm just glad to finally see this thing back together and driving down the street.

Fae, I just saw the video of your seizure. Are you OK? I heard some muffled grunts and groans, too. You didn't bite your tongue off did you?

Went for a drive tonight to play some ping pong at a buddies house. Of course, it is still raining.

Despite that i made some light throttle pulls to redline and hit 12 pounds of boost. I forgot how much fun it is to drive my car and how much time I have put into tuning it.

Sadly, despite upgrading my fuel pump wiring i am still seeing a drop in batt voltage with boost and rpm. I have an NA alternator sitting in my garage so i will convert over to that before breaking out the meth and se if that fixes the voltsge crap out. I just want to drive my car for a few days before fuci g with it again.

Will tape camera to wheel tomorrow if not raining.

How does a fuel pump rewire effect the vehicles main voltage? It should only consume 6-15amps where the alternator should be able to put out 65+ (being conservative since this is a little Miata go-kart) amps.

A NA alternator will only get you crappy results. They idle at ~13.2V, and can drop down to 12V just by having both fans switched on. You want an RX-7 FD alternator, which can output 100 amps, instead of the weak 65A of the NA alternator.

OOOo this is good to know. Are they more durable too? Because I had an N/A alternator die after 1 hour of track

Upgrade your alternator wiring if you plan to use this. I run my fan relay power directly off the alternator output stud to keep its 25-55 amps off the alternator wiring.

I dont know guys why i am having this problem then.
You think maybe my NB alternator is dead?

Reverant does this rx7 fd alternator just bolt right up on stock position?

Much below this...With the a/c running and headlights on and stereo blasting music, I can get my voltage to drop to 11.5v where my LC-1 will then shutoff.

and it's only 60A. the Auto is 65A.

well the 1.6L one that is.

the 1.8L is 65A manual and 70A auto.

I'm just curious: why are you so worried about the voltage dropping?
Is it completely crapping out at one point, or does the car start breaking up, or what?
Are you getting spark blowout?

Yes, it bolts in, no problems at all. It has a 6-rib pulley, however you just use the stock 4-rib belt and it won't slip or jump or anything.
