2. A setup thats a lot stronger is some places than others

You can either take the advice that everyone's giving you and profit from it, or continue to do what you're doing and live with 350hp while living in a box. Not trying to be a ******* but the ***** in your court man.

How does that traction control system on your Hydra work?

Could it possibly be interfering with something during that dyno session?

Yes, that's me. FM's dyno is pretty accurate, I believe, but the debate lies in whether the SAE correction should be applied to a turbo car to account for the mile-high altitude (my take is that there should be some correction, but not that much). My uncorrected chart from those runs were about 325 whp, which jibes with a local Dynojet run here at 2,000 feet.

Both the FM and local dyno sessions were less than optimal. At FM, we were chasing a fueling issue (ultimately caused by a failing fuel pump) and ignition woes (originally attributed to dwell settings but ultimately fixed by changing out to NGK race plugs). Here at home, I was running with sub-optimal fuel numbers, finally traced to an incorrectly-calibrated WB sensor. In other words, there's more in my system than I can prove with existing dyno charts. Given that, Fae should be making far better numbers than he has (so far). Summary: The Hydra is not the problem.

I disabled it for dyno. I programmed it work by spark cut. Fuel cut is also an option. But. The real purpose I programmed it for was to shoot machine gun speed fireballs.

It works by using the vehicle speed sensor. If there is X mph increase in .1 seconds, then it engages. Hydra also has awareness of potential mph increase in each gear.


So gays.

What are your recommendations?

My thoughts are that I will fix my fueling problem and go to another dyno without changing anything.

Wait you said fuel pressure isnt the issue right, You've got to be pushing some serious pressure at 35 psi, that should get you 80 psi in the rail if you set your base pressure at 45. I paged through your build thread real quick and must have missed what injectors you currently have.

Welp, those ought to take that kind of pressure just fine. That thats not it. I'm just confused why increasing the VE in an area it was going lean didnt richen it up. Unless the meth pump cant crank out enough pressure, but the good ones of those can push 250 psi. Other thing it could be, and I admit I've done it more than once, is tuning in the wrong table. Man that felt stupid when I was getting super pissed that adding VE wasnt making it richer. Realized, I was tuning the VE map and the car was still setup to run injector pulse width like the ECU comes from flyin miata.

Fae, what are you running for base fuel pressure? I run 80# base pressure on a single bosch 044 -8 supply line -6 return line, I am running e85, and have that wonderful 9k redline so thoughtfully provided by honda. My point here is my fuel needs are much higher than yours and I am getting it done on a single 044. You may need to rethink your fuel system, If I remember correctly you are -6 supply. -8 at 60# is supplying more fuel than -6 at the same pressure. ...Just thinking out loud.

Hey Hingstonwmwmw good point.

I am running 70-75ish psi for base pressure.

I have two -6 supply lines, one from each pump, to each end of the rail. -6 return. And yes, a single 044 should flow enough for like 700hp or something. Adding the additional pump and line did lower my IDCs by about 10% though. yay

I asked you before, but I forget. At max boost/dyno'd HP, what is your IDC?
