Fae, you have me constantly shaking my head in disbelief. Plain and simple, you need to spend money if you want a build that is going to last. You really need to step back and assess where you want your build to go. Then purchase the parts that are going to get you there. Get, your cu4rent set up in the sweet spot before moving on. I really question going to a 35 on the Miata. It works on my project but doesn't start making real power until 5k and I am a 2L engine that flows better than any Miata. Will you make power? Yes, but its not about peak HP, it's about area under the curve.

To say the least you have been entertaining to watch.

Wow wtf? Just spend a few hundred and get a mani/dp from either Abe or Tim. You definitely have all the other things to justify quality parts.

I got my spiffy mini aeromotive afpr this week.

Here's how I'm thinking I will set it up:

Use a quickdisconnnect-AN -6 adapter on the fuel tank lid
screw a -6 40 micron filter into the quickdisconnect outlet
run a -6 hose from the filter to the engine bay and screw it into the fuel rail
run a -6 hose to the AFPR in the bay
run a -6 return hose from the AFPR back to the tank
connect return hose to fuel lid with quickdisconnect to -6 fitting
hack the ******* factory regulator out of the tank

Thoughts?

OK nobody has thoughts so I will just do it.

I fixed up my coil wiring today:

Check that frikken heat shrink stuff out. That is 4x heat shrink. It fit over the coil connectors. It is like 2 or 3 mil thick.

I also finally put a horn back in the car. It gave me great glee to honk it! =D

Just a FYI, you will want to re tap the turbo flange on that manifold, the threads are garbage. Also the hardware that comes with it sucks, you will also need to devise a way to keep the studs from falling out of the manifold.
I am on my 4th manifold, best of luck.

I also desire an ART tech manifold. That is when I have the money for it.

Stainless Sch40 weld-ells are like $5 each. You can buy flanges for not expensive either. If you're going to "hack it up" you could have spent literally another $30-40 and had a manifold with the same build specs as the best manifolds made for our cars (AF), just without the awesome design/TiG work. Instead you'll have a **** Chinese manifold that will crack so bad you'll have to include it in your next therapy session.

You are the MiataTurbo equivalent of Charlie Sheen - "WINNING" except everyone actually thinks you've just gone off the deep end.

Wtf today I poseted about my super ******* awesome heat shrink job and mykiller horn and all I get is replies about my superawesome egay manifol that will make 600hp.

Besides, Charlies Sheen is a great man and he is my ******* idol so **** you. The point of life is not to slob the **** of the world and do what the world thinks you should do.

Not even any comments on my fuel sysem parts list.

I am actually going to get a 5/16 tube welded into my fuel lid and an AN bung on the tube.

Blah I am at my girls law school reception so I will keep writing.

I need more power. I am still not spinnubg the tires in fourt gear so there is plenty oftraction headroom. Whatever. I am still stalkig for good big T4 turbo deals but if I don't find one I will stay with my gt3071. Who knows, I might get a gt3076x because at 28psi it should put down 580 or so hp at the wheel.

Blah. This fueling system had better flow enough.

Make sure you have the compact housing on whatever turbo you get also, otherwise turbo hit block.

The fuel system list looks good and the heat shrink looks ok I would have just butted it up to the connector you kinda have an a Ipod umbilical cord thing going on right now but it still looks good. The manifold will be fine I know a ton of people that have ebay mani's that hold up for a long time. I will admit that normally they crack once or twice but after that they are done so **** it and roll with it.

Drove my car around the back roads of fredneck today and had a great time. My navigator almost got me busted by a cop.

Driving home I challenged some decent looking tiburon and mazdaspeed3 and both declined. Fail. No z06s to challenge which is my current benchmark to beat.

Here's a shitty video for everyone of a brief 3rd and 4th gear pull. I have been doing this 60-115mph pull a lot lately. AFRs are a bit rich because that is 23psi due to the cold weather. I left that area a little rich on purpose.
