Easy now . . . (RPF-1s . . . but similar):

Curly, your machine's looking good. Like the brake duct inlets.

Love your car too, hornet. Nothing personal against the silver, just have never been a fan at all of it on lighter colored cars.

I guess we will see how my choice pans out when I get these on my car in the next week or so. Hopefully it looks as good in real life as it does in my mind.

Yeah pretty much. That color stuck out to me and made me want to buy them, so i did. Like i said I REALLY want gunmetal, and these will be powdercoated gunmetal eventually depending on how much I enjoy the gold.

You're going to love those RS-R's. I couldn't really tell a difference going from Star Spec Z1's to the RS-R's (street driven). For the price I honestly don't think they can be beat.

That's exactly what I'm hoping for. Such a good price for them. I can't wait to see how much better they are than my cheapo 215/16 all seasons.

$100 each including shipping. Got them off ebay, but it looks like they could be had for even cheaper on Onlinetires.com - Lowest Tire Prices on the Web. Period!

Also these look wider than my 215/16 falken's that are on the car now.

I'm always so friggen confused by Federal tires, just to clear this up:

the only ones available in a 15" are 195/50 and 205/50 right?

As far as I saw... yes. These 205's do look mighty wide though, i don't think there will be really any stretch at all on the 8" wheel.

On that note....

Let me just add that these wheels look so much better in person. All the pictures i've seen of these wheels do not do them justice. The lip is perfect, not too deep like it appears in some pictures. I've got a boner right now. Waiting on valve stems that shipped from 949 racing now... hopefully they will be here this week so i can get to mounting.

Fixed my oil leak this weekend. Cam seals it was.

Warning to all: Ebay cam seals suck.

The timing belt (mitsobishi) in the kit is great, the waterpump (GB) awesome, but the cam/main/valve cover seals all blow imo, will not use again.

Nowwwww.. wheels/tires/alignment planned for this week. Then the plans are fuel pump + e85 + moar boost.

So I kind of really want a bigger turbo. What do you guys think of this?

*ISIS RS3871 Turbo - Nissan SR20DET - Enjuku Racing Parts, LLC

What china turbos would you gays recommend? It's either something like this, or an OEM s14/s15 turbo which is slightly bigger than what I have.

I'm thinking something that will be fun now at around 250whp, but can make 300+ when i get my spare block built.

I'm running a EMUSA Chinese 2870 and am really pleased with it. 9psi was 200whp, 12psi is around 235-240whp I'm guessing. It is made by TBO, one of the largest turbo builders in China. http://www.tbo-turbo.com/about.asp

Sexshooter, do you have a link to the exact one you are using? I tried to navigate their website, i really did. I'm sure there are tons of these on ebay too, right?

Now what do you guys think about a basic motor build like vlad and others have done using upgraded rods, cleaned oem pistons, new oem bearings, and re-honing and re-ringing? I want somewhere around 250whp, maybe 300whp in the future. The motor will be run on e85 (det kills pistons quckly).

I'm starting to seriously look into building this block and it won't be in the cards anytime soon unless I go budget build.

I've got a 94 block fully assembled that has a basically brand new oil pump in it. I'm going to build the motor myself (my first one, will have the benefit of having a mechanic dad's supervision/help), I'm really starting to think this is the way to go for my first build since it is much more simple and not as huge of a deal if I FUBAR it somehow.

Or am I dreaming/stupid and really should save up another year and go fully forged.

What say you?

That is my tentative plan, cheap forged rods, re-use stock pistons, new piston rings with slight "ball" honing. If using E85 and well tuned, it "should" be reliable at 300whp. Should be...
