golftdibrad's build thread. MSPNP, old FMII GT28 kit

So at the last autox I noticed significant clutch slip in my current setup:

Attachment 187583

And today I bought a FM happy meal. And the more i though about it, the more sense it makes to just install the turbo stuff while its all apart for the clutch job.

The current engine setup is:
started as 94 C package
4:10 gears from a NB
MSPNP, MAP VE Tuning with IAT correction, Inovate LC2 wideband.
750cc RC injectors
early MP62 kit with TRD tensioner
runs about 8lbs of boost at red line.

So i have this pile of pipes to fit back together.

I think it started life as an old FMII kit. It has been modified.

Here are the pics of the install from the car it was pulled off of. I will not be using the MBC or the extra injectors.

I dont know what kind of turbo it is. It says Garrett, the cold side is .6 AR and the hotside is .48 AR. Any help identifying would be great.

Stuff I need to get: Rear main seal, maybe trans seals, might get a new exhaust gasket, gasket between turbo and manifold?, hardware, new IAT bung/sensor, and something else I'm sure I'm forgetting.

I plan on ditching the PS and keeping the AC. I think that is all. So what do you all think?

Rest of bits ordered, I think I got it all. I found out how long it takes to decode the charge piping for an old FMII. 6 beers.

looks like its an old FMII gt28 kit. The IC setup predates archived FM pages at the waybackmachine.

Not sure why the PO welded in two injector bungs. perhaps he took advice from Tom at FFS and though it was as good as a bigger inter-cooler...

Friday night I discovered two broken studs in the turbo manifold. Lots of drilling and cussing later, I have some new 5/16-18 holes to put stuff into. They are so stuck that i tapped threads onto part of the bolt. I am also getting a 90 deg fitting for the oil feed line, and a new TB gasket.

Couple of questions:
1. The oil galley on the exhaust side of the block, what threads are it? Everything else seems to be 1/8 npt, just wanted to check.
2. Do i need an oil restriction for the turbo running -3 line? Its a non- watercooled journal bearing unit. (.1875 hole)

Also, my other car (my namesake) is jelious. Lost a voltage regulator/brushes Saturday. Of course right after i spend a crapload of money on the miata.
