Bluetooth, that's not in the above deck. I'm removing the Bose 6 CD deck and going with a cheap Bluetooth deck. Then I can run the 3 hole single DIN TDR guage plate.
BTW yellow cars are overated. .........

So I bought a cheapie 75 dollar deck from Walmart. Just to test my theory of broken deck.
I hook it up.
Same thing: everything works, but no sound. So now I'm not sure what's going on. I guess I need the Bose-Specific Scosche harness? I was assured by multiple people on M-S that a regular deck should work with the rest of the bose system... I'm using a metra harness from crutchfield.
***EDIT: Ok so I think I found my problem(s). Apparently you have to send power to the "amp" wire going to the oem harness. I don't remember wiring/connecting anything that said "amp" so I probably didn't do that. I just did the power/ground/switched power, and the individual speaker wires.
more messing with it tonight.

Welp I'm back to square 1: couldn't figure anything out yesterday, there is some wire that has "amp" in the description, giving it power didn't do anything. The "room" fuse is fine too (another thing people were saying might cause this).
I guess I'm either going to get the Scosche harness for this BOSE crap or just leave out the radio altogether, like you. I barely ever listen to it.

Just remove it and enjoy the timeless classics of "Churbo spins & choos vol. 3"
I can't wait to get around to removing the Bose stuff out of mine. I want to convert it to a simple bluetooth connection w/ amp and better speakers so whenever I get in my car, pandora will follow also a hands free setup for phone. (this will also free up the double din space, will have alltehgauges)

It's just for fun/amusement really, but so far I've removed the soft top completely, removed the spare, jack, pass airbag guts, windshield washer bottle, wipers, and just basically anything that I don't really need. Also shed nearly 10lb PER corner with the wheels, and like 20lb with the exhaust parts.
Not doing anything drastic, or expensive, or inconvenient mind you, this is just for funzies. I'm thinking I should be close to 100-150lb dropped

Did you ever figure out settings for quicker start up? Mine starts on about the 6th "pulse". Stock started on the 4th. I've tried messing with cranking pulse, priming pulse, idle air, ve table in crank zone, timing in crank zone. Can't seem to get it better. Will try some more tomorrow.

Then I traded that car, and shortly after the battery died, so for all I know it coulda been good but sluggish due to battery.
I'll be tuning current MS real soon and will report back.

I had a pretty sweet bloothtooth only set up in my car for awhile. No head unit at all, just an amp, bloothtooth adapter that plugged into the amps RCA inputs, and a remote gain ****. You control volume with either the remote gain **** or the volume on your smart phone.
I can post up what to buy if that sounds appealing at all.
MSM looks amazing BTW.

^ I looked at yours and thought about it but still wanted local radio. Also wanted space for more gauges. Bought a cheap Bluetooth head unit from crutchfield and mounted it in the glove box. Had to cut the back of the glove box a bit. Because the Bluetooth only units are short, it fit in this location with the ac evaporator. Don't think a CD player would have. Now I just need an inferred repeater so that the remote will work with the glove box closed.

Very interesting. So this is one of those "Digital media receiver" things?

I have this one and love it - but unfortunately it's disconinued... It plays via iphone or andriod and is simple to operate while driving.
