Its DIY man, Do-It-Yourself, not Do-It-For-Me
Just giving you grief.
bcrx7 the main issue that I've seen is noisy signal from the ethanol sensor. Read here for more info: https://www.miataturbo.net/general-m...ecklist-84106/

According to msextra, that filter issue only pertains to MS2. I started a thread and one of the main developers said that hooking it directly to the MS3 should work.

Pat: Maybe the returnless explains my wavey AFR's. Perhaps the dampers are bandaids themselves. 15% EGO is huge, especially up top.
18: I think that just the changes between Winter and Summer gas, we need to:
1) Adjust Req_Fuel seasonally,
2) Use EGO
3) Run richer in the summer by default.
4) Use long term trim. I don't know if anyone has tried this. I'm a little scared to try it. I'm also trying to get to the point that I take the laptop out of the car.
I think #2 is the worst because it will always chase a little. But I do use it with diminishing authority as MAP goes up.
With changing levels of alcohol, how can you get VE table dialed in without a sensor?

What you need is an octane sensor. I have one sitting here that I can send you, but the shipping is pretty expensive. It will solve all your problems.
I don't want to take a picture of it, because I don't want anyone stealing the design. It works by allowing the different octanes to separate, then you connect the fuel pump to pull from the "level" you want.
Ok, so maybe it's a processing tower from one of the refineries here. A little big and heavy, but it's amazing what happens when you show up with a bunch of flatbeds and just start doing something. People think you belong and don't ask questions.

2) This is always a good practice, but ONLY after the map is completely dialed in and consistent/perfect. Never to compensate for unfinished map.
3) I tend to run my cars on the rich side anyway, and even more so on pump gas (91 junk here). For instance: some run 12.0-12.5:1 in boost even on pump gas, and I wont do that even on e85. I don't take chances.
4) I use it all the time on other cars. Not on a miata.......yet

When I say the alcohol changes, I mean when I was going from pump gas to e85, for the 1st tank. Now that I'm on E, I don't expect it to change that much.
at least I hope. at least it hasn't before. who knows.
Also on E it's so forgiving, you can run 13.5:1 in boost and the car won't even hiccup.

DW200 came in. Went in right away.
Then I went out and completely re-tuned the car. It didn't completely throw off the tune, but there seemed to be enough places that the fueling was different that I just felt better starting from scratch.
3 hours later and she runs like a champ.
The real test will be over the next few days with varying temps and conditions, but I think it's good now.

All day and for the short drive I just did in the evening she ran like a champ.
In fact, a little on the rich side, which is fine.
I know I keep saying this, but IT'S SO MUCH FUNNNNNNN
Today I trolled a modded 05 WRX Wagon. Little home-boyz in flat brimmed hats and it was insane loud, so probably "stage2" or something. The best part was when they finally pull up to the next light and his passenger is like "damnnnnnnnnnnn, what's done to that thing, it flies!!!"
I smile and say "intake and exhaust"
PS: the look on their face as I'm passing and flat-foot-shift right in front of their window, shooting a nice flame - PRICELESS
Who woulda thunk a miata could be this much fun?
