Powerful erection cars as always, good sir. The 3G WRX hatch sounds like the perfect car for mountain adventure pedo's like myself.

lol thanks

installed koni inserts with racecomp engineering springs onto the wrx instead of the KW's I got for it. Decided struts/springs are more suited for not racecar

Have you ever run Koni inserts on your previous subarus? I was completely not impressed with them on my FXT...

My setup was WRX konis, WRX sedan struts, '04 Sti springs, com-c front strut mounts and group-n rear mounts. Even at full soft the ride was too harsh for "not race car"...

Nope, I have not. There's just too many suspension choices for the previous models to even bother with all the work involved with installing inserts.

Drove on them for the 1st time yesterday. They're really not bad actually, and this combo is super popular for the GR wrx's. At full soft it is just a bit more firm than stock, so far not bad. We will see.

What strut mounts? I think I over did it with the com-c and group N parts ...

OEM mounts. Maybe that's it, but again - GD suspension is different, so it uses different Koni's so that could also be a factor.

GR uses shocks in the rear, not struts, and has slightly different struts in the front too. I'll obviously report back whether its good or bad, but these are really popular among the GR crowd, the only setup that's more popular is the GTWORX bilsteins when looking at non-coilovers
