got most of it finished today..

Countersunk screws, all painted matte black. a bit more stealth than shiny alu.

it is possibly a fatigue crack in the block, the location of the crack and the fact of 5years as overcharged and tortured engine.. thing's dont last forever. material stress should be moderate, but after 5 years with a lot of pressure and rpms, it is logical really.

this build is awesome, but the man behind it even more awesome..

I november i drove 600 km with my car on a trailer.. so he could check all the electrical problems it had(and mechanical) now things seams to go the right way thanks Harald!

Wow. Nicest ducting ever. Nicer than any of the other track cars I have seen here. So so nice.

thanks. Ive been "trying" to make the ducting for atleast a year now, but never got around to it, since the car wasnt really overheating as it was. But better safe than sorry. Next item on the list is ducting for both oil coolers, and then building a setup for cooling the transmission. after that im building/dropping the engine in it again. putting on the BBK from TSE, and some small electronic changes for the ecu(speed sensors front and rear, ++) short summer in norway, but hoping to have it ready by april-ish.

did some more fabrication.. this time it was brake shields/ducts..

Also finished the ducting for the radiator. so everything should get all the cooling air possible..

Small parts review :
TSE bigbrake kit is looks great so far, except for the lack of centering rings for the discs that cause the discs to be slightly off senter.. wasnt expecting that.. has anyone else had issues with that? not acceptable to have the discs wobbling about.. kinda sucks having to make centering rings for a bolt on kit.. maybe im the only one that cares.. but feels "cheap" when basic stuff like that is not included in the kits ..

The hats center on the lugs. A couple of dozen kits have been sold now, and there are no issues with the lack of a centering ring. It was a conscious decision to not include it.

ok, im still not happy with the centering. so ill make my own then.. (yeah im kinda nuts when it gets to those things.. no kill like overkill, even if its not really needed.. )

its not really a big wobble. ,75mm but it easy for me to get a couple of small rings machined.

Amazing fab work and thus amazing car. I've had a few bbk's from the states (granted for other cars). Stoptech, wilwood, baer and all of them were lug centric and I never had any issues.

Every StopTech rotor hat is hub centric, not lug centric.

0.75mm (is that diameter or radius?) times the mass of the rotor assembly can be a significant imbalance, especially on a car as sensitive to imbalance as a Miata. The only thing helping is the rotor is probably approximately aligned with the center of the wheel, so it's mostly hop, not wobble.

forgot to tell you guys.. the car has been up and running for a while.. everything is just as it should be.. engine is strong etc..
went for some "hooning" this saturday to try to shake out any bugs left from rebuilding everything.. not a single glitch..

had lots of fun.. next step is to strap the wing back on, with the front splitter etc, and get it on the track again.

took a pic to demonstrate that i might have gone a bit mad with mounting the front splitter. It will easily support me standing on the lip. also got brake cooling pipes in.

If the weather is ok, ill be taking it to a trackay again this weekend.. fingers crossed
