I aim for 270-ish at the track. Also, 250-ish on a stock 1.8 bottom end is fine, I did it for years.

You have two full BP6Ds, right? Can you make one good one out of the parts of the two? One needs rings? What's wrong with the other? (Yes, I know you don't want to do that right now, but I'm curious)

I have a t5 swap on my brain. Already have the spare 5 speed for the bell housing. @Monk should be bringing me one of those dirt cheap Midwest t5s this summer.

Yep. Do you want the V8 or V6 version?

Pretty sure the v6. I'll get you the exact one later.

Missed the second part of this.

One is from the auction car. Cracked oil pan, oil pump, timing covers. But theoretically would run with those replaced. But i have no idea how long it ran after it was crashed.

Other one was pulled with what sounded like rod knock. I never heard it, so for all I know it could be something in the valve train. There was a video somewhere of it knocking though.

In other words, yes, he could make one engine out of the two.

Ya know Aidan, it's not a bad idea since you don't have to crack the engine open...

Not for sure though. Auction motor is totally unknown.

Also I'm still stuck with a stock rod motor and sub 200hp.

Let me know soon about the t5.
July is approaching quickly.
I have a 95 v8 box ready to go right now, but I have a bead on several v6 boxes.

V6 boxes? How much are we talking?
I can get them for an... undisclosed amount.

I haven't seen one on Craigslist in the last 3 months. They are rare. Saw a v8 go in hours.

I need a v6 box with a v8 input shaft. So if you have any blown v8 boxes out there too...

Let me do some v6 research.

Follow up on the speeding ticket at the end of march.

I had a diversion from last spring. I missed completing that by 14 days. So now I have 4 in 24 months. Which means suspended license from what I have read so far.

Maybe I'll save some money biking to work.

No. I have cops going in, but only the one set. I have reason to suspect one of the old coils is going bad.

I do have a "kit" for the cops, which is connectors and pins to make a harness, but I'd like to get mine up and running before I commit to selling.

Dad had some sort of ancient MSD unit. No idea where it came from or if it's still there. If you want I'll go look for it and take pics.

I have no regrets about putting the MSD 6A in the dentside and hunting down a Duraspark for the FE. * Best thing evar.

* For very narrow descriptions of 'best' and 'evar'
