When we have VTPS, CKP, EV14, and some knowledge on my part, this engine will really shine, but it's going to take at least two dyno days to get there. Right now my plan is to get the car to Hallett, relax, run some 28s, and belittle Californians.

My exhaust options are Roadster Sport or FM. Which do I buy? I must order tonight.

Please help me. I want lightness and power.

I don't have time for an Enthusa. It must ship tomorrow or I have to pay 2-day fees.

Save your money/time and do it right the first time. Those choices are too heavy, too expensive and not what you need with this engine. You're going to want a 20ga 2.5" diameter under car dump exhaust with this. You cant get the thing to a performance exhaust shop and have them make something?

I've been trying to find someone to build exhaust for my car two weeks now. I'd love to "take my time and do it right the first time" but I have 3 business days left until I have to drive the car to Tulsa and track it. I will not run a dump under the car, it will go to the bumper, I don't want the back of the car filthy and melted. I don't have a truck nor trailer, I also can't take any more time off work to do it. Whatever I buy will go on my daily until I can find someone to make an ultra-nice one, if necessary. Part of this build is about simplicity and easy living, that starts now. Serenity now!

If you dump by the diff with a turn down you dont get the soot or melt, you could copy the exhaust I'm making but in 2.5" and have it v band by the diff and add a driving to the even muffler section that you can remove when racing.

Anyways, I have no preference between either one, but FM as never shipped something to me the day I ordered it, its always the next day.

Why don't you ask on miata net? i'm sure you'll get plenty of recommendations on good exhausts there.

Get back to me when you're run within an hour of the SM lap record at any given track, homofag.

I went with RS because of the larger diameter piping.

Apparently the NA is different. Looks like Racing Beat is 2.375" diameter and RS is 2.25" on the NA. It's 2.5" on the NB. I think the RS is lighter than the RB but we're talking within a few pounds. Go with the larger diameter ya?

Go with the less weight. I'm betting 2.375 is the OD because that is not a standard exhaust size at all.

Yes, it's OD. Think the extra D is just thicker pipe? Could be... I like my RS FWIW.

'99, RB 4-1, RS mid, RS Muffler before the MS2. Now that it's tuned (baller tuned I'm told), it sounds even better IMHO.

And from inside:

All that remains is the exhaust to come in on Wednesday and the tune coming this weekend. I might make it.

Two is better, but you can save 50% of the cost by just adjusting the intake side, and get about 75% of the result compared to doing both.
