Hard mounting an exhaust has always lead to a failure of some kind (weld cracking, tab breaking off, etc.).

Oh, and Spec RX-7's will always have the loudest, worst sounding exhausts in my book.

Hard mounting simply doesn't work. Not an option.

What about a U-clamp at the exhaust on a long, somewhat flexy aluminum strap like I did on the turbo car? That was on there for years and it never cracked. Should I just deal with the rubbing? Any other options?

You can try using a worm clamp and wrap it around the hangers to stiffen them up. They tend to move around a bit so i'd suggest ziptieing them to the hanger and gluing them.

I already have poly hangers everywhere that are death-stiff.

I suppose some sort of flexible strap might work as a jerry rigged set up. I'd probably just have the offending component cut and rewelded back in the right orientation. Or toss it and get something that fits.

I used one of these with a U-clamp on my downpipe. Small rubber section is thick, looks like a section of a tire (multi-layered rubber/reinforced), and won't transmit much if any vibration. I bolted the metal strap end to the PPF. Not a track car but has held up for over a year.

Bros, I'm totally at a loss for a 99TPS pig-tail. What can I do about this? How and where can I buy a new one? I called FM to see if they could sell me one from a V8-swap car, but they won't look.

Call Steve at Panic Motorsports in West Columbia, SC (803.261.7629) and see if he has one.

Now that I've been forced to buy a Toda cam gear from FM, what should I do with the purple one? Is it worth anything on the exhaust cam, or should I sell it off?

I've tried:
Partsgroup
BTDT
Aim
FM
949 (screw those guys)
Random people on ebay
V8R
Panic
more random people on ebay
truckstops
the local glory hole

No one has a harness or piggy. I don't really know what to do at this point other than to sever my *****. How do I figure out a part number or whatever to order new? How do I make the little clippy electrical contact thangs? Help me, I'm worthless.

FWIW, I'm adding the Toda gears to our website until we get ours. We have been working on our own private label, made in Japan cam gears, compatible with the NB1 CAS. Project was set aside for a while but we'll finish it up. Sorry!
