Plus I'm not good yet with being able to read engine wear/damage....so feel free to fill me in on what looks worn out or what looks like its in good shape. Its something I need to learn.

Geez, your pistons look like the pistons in the spare motor I bought...and it had been sitting outside this guy's apartment for a few months.

I believe this shortblock had been sitting as well before I got it. Anyone care to explain to me what I should be lookin' for as far as bottom end wear indication?

Just curious, what exactly is this little plug for on our oil pumps? Can we not just find the thread pitch and run a fitting into it for oil feed for tha turbozzzzz?

I have always wondered what it was for too. I put my oil temp sensor in it. It is 1/4 npt if I recall. I heard once that it had a function in a different chassis?

edit: the alternator would probably prohibit running a hose or fitting out of it. My oil temp sensor BARELY fit.

Why the hell would you want to use that port when you have a 94 block with the best possible oil/water sources for the turbo?

I wish I had a 94 block :(

Engine wear looks fine with nothing out of the ordinary. Have the crank polished and the block honed/washed.

I didn't plan on using it for the oil feed personally but, I was curious as to what it was and hell maybe find another possible oil feed port for guys with boosted cars?
