Default chokeasphyxia's new engina

Previous upgrades/intro to car thread in 2008:
https://www.miataturbo.net/general-miata-chat-9/upgrades-6ul-brakes-pads-rails-r-p-25242/

Been pretty much just driving/busting-up car since then, limping it along the last 6 months or so as I gathered parts for new engine.

Crappy dirty engine

Lost tha head

Rest of drive train out

My buddy 'load testing' old drive train

Empty bay/busted headlight

6+ months of ignored oil leaks is shitty

General atmosphere shot

Redoing valve cover and intake manifold

New bottom end coming together at Advanced Race Technology here in SRQ

84mm Supertech's

Fitting more pieces

Coolant reroute spacer by Reverend Greg

Spacer installed

Resurfaced flywheel

Clutch on

Old **** lines/new awesomes from ARTech

Reason car wouldn't build over 6psi

Sitting pretty

Wire wheeled TB

Skip a bunch of bitching/bleeding and have this

Nice to see you back in the game.

the lower portion of the mouth has a crazy looking falling edge. it appears to be cut at random?

the portion in red should be cut out:

Some people have talked about this stuff flaking off after a while, if that happens I'll have them powder coated.

9:1 compression ratio, they discontinued the lower CR in 84mm.
