Long Term Full Build
So I wanted to build a log of progress as I start making moves on what I hope to be a solid streetable track car. I have gone the "shop built" route but want to do this 100% in my garage, minus the block machining. I was looking for a project car and came across someone's aborted efforts. 94 with a torn down 99 motor and some goodies here and there. Nothing that will set the world on fire, but what mattered was the straight frame and getting it for a good price.
It came with a full BP4W (marked accordingly)
Shortblock has Manley rods
M1 Hard Core
Tein Basis Coil Overs (Selling)
CX Turbo Kit (Sold)
Konig Wheels (Sold)
Torsen Rear
PCI Seat Mount
Battle Aero Chassis Mounted Wing
**Poorly Fitting Hardtop not included**
I will start taking pics of my progress. Here are some of the things I plan to do
Most likely Ohlins Suspension
Undecided Sways
Prothane Bushings (On the floor waiting)
V8 Roadsters Frame Supports (Freshly Installed) According to my frame rails, there is such a thing as too low.
Enkei RPF1 in 15x8
Wilwood DynaPro Fronts
Stainless Braided Lines
Forged 83.5mm Shortblock
Wiseco Pistons/rings
Manley Rods
ACL or Kings Bearings
All ARP Everythang
Kelford Cams
Supertech Valves and Springs
Wire Tuck (In Progress)
Smoothing Engine Bay (Lots of holes to weld)
AC and Heater Delete
Debating Turbo
Intercooler
Coolant reroute
ID 1050 Injectors
Walbro or DW Fuel Pump
E85 Sensor (2013 SRX)
COP Conversion
Undecided Seats
Undecided Harnesses
Nardi Wheel with QD
Custom Tombstone setup
OEM Hardtop
and a bunch of other stuff I cant think of right now.

Long story short, the xida shocks were developed especially for the miata, by a miata race team, who sells them. When you go to purchase, they will want as much car info as you can provide, so that you get a correct setup.
Poly sucks even with zerks. We aren't guessing, we have gone down this road a long time ago. Take apart an older poly bush, fully greased. They look like dog turds, grinding and wearing out against each other.
Xida, bronze, or delrin
Ohlins have a pretty bad flaw on the miata product. The travel limits are super generic and dont work well. Consumer grade ohlins is just another cheap part, riding the coat tails of a totally different product.
Xida : see TracTive suspension
