Which tracks are you planning to attend?

I am in Jacksonville and usually goto the FIRM in Starke, FL. they have open track days once a month, good price ($200) and LOTS of track time.

last time i been there, i went through 2 FULL tanks of gas and over 120 miles of on track time, they had about 15 cars show up and just did open track all day instead of groups.

A couple new parts showed up...part of my turbo setup from TSE. Still awaiting the rest of the kit which I believe Andrew said would be available early September. Also ordered a TSE radiator. Excited for the parts to show up...the wait continues. Going to pick up the BMW transmission tomorrow. Found a 80K mile one for 275$.

Picked this up today for 275$. Out of a Z3 with 80K miles. Not a small initial investment but nice that the transmissions are easy to find and cheap as **** to replace. Plan to clean it up tomorrow.

I thought about it...reality is for now its fine. I know based on the other parts I'm buying it seems odd but for now it'll work for me. Plus it'll leave me something to upgrade in the future. Im sure when i explode this motor ill do a full VVT build with a flattop manifold, cams, and the like. Im the typical get bored with something and need to upgrade so that'll be next.

Oh yeah I'm sure it will make great power either way, and if you plan to upgrade in the future anyway I guess carry on

Probably on a full race head which the machine shop offered but I didn't opt for.

And I thought I spent a good chunk of change on my build... I'm just waiting for you to get a VVT in your next update.

I started reading this website when I was 24 and was borrowing money like a mother ****** for school. Im 33 now so it's been a long wait to get here but I figured for me and my OCD if I was going to build the car I was going to do it the best I could. Its a fair bit of change but I figure its cheaper than drugs and women. Keeps me out of trouble.

What kind of drugs/women we talkin? Cuz my cousin od'd on heroin, and he did a lot over 20 years, he estimated 100k on da big H.

I've spent at least 120k in 10 years on 5 cars.

Women, that's a diff story, you got 50 dolla suckies, all the way up to thousands per hour.

Cars (not exotics) are def cheaper than women

/bored, sorry lol
