What are you using for boost control?

Ahh. Interesting. Do you have a dyno plot with the boost numbers?

yesterday on the dyno

this was last weekends AutoX. This was before the tune. And most likely with nothing holding the wastegate to the turbo

OP. I'd like to see a longer dyno pull (slower rpm rise) and some EBC. Would make for a loooot lower boost threshold.

Either way epic car. I'll hit you up next time i'm up there with my car.

Your bov sounds different

also, is that your dipstick rotating as RPM increases?

I rode in @Chooofoojoo's car and his sounded just like the one on the dyno. I thought it sounded wrong, apparently he had borked the install.

I'll look into the bov. It was already installed on the turbo when I got it, but there is always a possibility he messed up the install.

yes the dipstick handle rotates, I don't think it is the whole dipstick

Ah that'd make sense. Short dyno pull. I thought the turbo looked a little lazy for a 6758 in terms of boost threshold.

Make sure it's not too tight because it sounds almost like it's surging a bit. Mine is literally just a couple turns past the oring, it shouldn't be twisted shut all the way. But maybe 2/3....mine might be loosey goosey which is ok, it still holds.

Mine sounds like this

Another reason the boost took a little bit to come on is the conservative timing under 4500. It is still single digits. Next time it goes in for a tune we will be a little more aggressive

I just mean the dyno pull was very short. Seemed like a lower gear.

That was just a random pull during the process. It may have been 3rd

Pulled the car in today to see what I could do about the fans. After letting the car warm up I noticed a puddle of oil under the car. I immediately turned the car off and started investigating. The drip is coming from the front of the motor and running off the oil pan. It is coming from right behind my damper. I'm thinking it could be one of 4 things.
1. Main seal
2. Oil pump
3. Oil pressure sender
4. Crank/Thrust bearings

I did see a slight drop in oil pressure yesterday during a pull on the way home from the dyno. I also see a slight wobble in my crank. I'm going to do some more investigating this weekend. Went from extreme high to extreme low very quick. Hoping it will be an easy fix and I won't have to pull the motor

Crank/thrust bearings wouldn't cause an external leak. And I'd be suprised if the oil pump could too.

I'm guessing front crank seal. Easy fix though.
