Rosca NA build

Rosca NA build
Just bought my first miata off of some random guy down the road from me, great price so here we go on the adventure of building my little Rosca into something beautiful but not too pretty because shes going to have to roar and talk a little dirty for me to be happy with her. I'll be posting pictures of the progress as time goes. If you don't like what I do to my car, leave your comments to yourself because I truthfully do not care! And will just laugh at you!

Did a couple things so far:
1: Cleaned inside due to leaves and not taken care of. Found a kill switch where the cup holder cabin is in the center console arm area. Had no clue what it was so my boyfriend helped me look at it, when flipped on or off dont know which way, the check engine light would come on so the guy rigged the car somehow, dont know why yet!? We will find out.
2: Previous owner had sticky carper material over dash, wanted to see what was under it since it was hideous and there was a square missing from the dash panel, no clue why but the guy ruined the dash so over a two or three day period I researched how to take out dash, took the dash out and started looking for another!
3: In process of taking out oem seats and replacing them with TO BE CONTINUED when found/bought seats.
4: Person had stickers on windows, side mirror, windshield. Took all the stickers off which was a pain in the ***.
11/2/13
Did some maintenance to my car because she wasn't running properly and leaking oil.
List
Replaced radiator with a KOYO 37mm all aluminum radiator since radiator was leaking as well.
Thermoswitch
Coolant flush
Alternator belt
Waterpump and belt
Timing belt
Fuel injectors
Valve cover gasket that was leaking
Main fuel relay replaced
Redid the engine grounds
This coming week transmission fluid and differential fluid will be replaced. Mainly just catching up on maintenance that was neglected by the previous owner.
Also installed a RoadsterTech blanking plate that can either sit flush or recessed (will post picture). Replaced the dash that was butchered too.
Now she should run for another 100,000 miles +
Have to figure out what I want to do with the rust on fenders, either fender flares or sand down all surface rust and prime then cover with a black satin sticker. ORRRR just wrap the whole damn car because the paint has overspray random spots and its not worth repainting eventually. We shall see what will happen haha.
Basically have just been trying to save money for the next process but Christmas has killed the bank. Learning more about my miata every day. If anyone has any input on turbo suggestions I'm willing to listen and pretty easy going.

Oh, yeah, I should slow my Leg Hump Roll enough to mention that I have a complete '99 interior sitting in boxes in the parts storage barn (long story)- You'd have to do a bit of searching to confirm, but I *think* the NA/NB dash panels can be swapped. If so, holla. Your dash is no bueno, but the car looks good otherwise. <Edit: Just realized you already have the dash thing handled. You go girl.>

There was carpet on it so I felt it to see if I could just pull it off and try to salvage, well there was a square hole with styrofoam shoved in it. Thought it might have been where an airbag was, did research and found out there was no airbag that year in the dash. Got pissed and tore all the carper off, decided to say screw it and bought a new dash because I want a clean look. No idea why they did it or what happened. Will be a mystery forever. Also I'd like to add that I noticed on the trunk lid right next to license plate there used to be a sticker (sun damage marks) and it said "dope" like the Audi kids have. I'm guessing sometime in little roscas life a car enthusiast owned the car, may explain the mysterious hole in the dash, they might have tried DIYing something that didn't turn out like expected!
Haha you are funny! Yes I do work on my cars, need help sometimes but other than that I try my best to do the rest. I had the new dash for awhile now, couldn't stand seeing a hole anymore and didn't want to just leave the dash out. As for the car itself, need to figure out what I want to do about the rust issues, car wasn't taken care of previously and someone did a **** job trying to fix it which made it worse.
The glovebox isn't that hard to get into even when locked, probably the least durable glove boxes made if you ask me haha. I wish I knew what the story was. It's not that bad taking the dash out, it's putting it back in that can be a pain to be honest.
Most likely not a gauge mod.q
I took head unit out because it was wired to kill someone if touched and was connected to some kill switch that would turn the check engine light on and off if I remember correctly, someone rigged the car to either pass inspection or something.
If people want to know my name if will tell. No shame in my name, if people really want to stalk they can or already are. Thank you though, I need all the luck I can get
Absolutely the only instance of someone saying this on MT without triggering an immediate **** Storm of Malice, Criticism and Derision. Sometimes having a case of The Pretty isn't so bad, huh? ;^)
Wha.. What??? Boyfriend? BOYFRIEND?!? Girl, with you running around on me already, I'm not feeling too sure about our future together...
Whoa. You really do comprehend how cars work, and work on them yourself?? And you LIKE doing it??? I take back that stuff about our love not working, we good. ****, I'll even get a cat or something. Whatever you want, darlin'; thats how we roll.

Blah blah blah...looking out for you...blah blah...widows and orphans and strangers in need...blah blah...shining armor...blah. I'm right there with you on that philosophy.
