New video is out, check out Post #1. In this episode, I complete the measuring and welding of the downpipe and get it installed -- final mounting in the car! Also do the new O2 sensor location. Oh yeah, I make a bracket for the wastegate actuator a la the method mentioned by Leafy some years ago. Just a length of 1/2" bar stock bolted onto the compressor outlet stud and holding the actuator with a 2" exhaust u-bolt clamp.

I did the full cost breakdown (link to video in post #1). This includes the whole part list down to the nuts and bolts used.

Including tax and shipping but excluding consumables (sealant, welding wire, etc), the final total came to $2290. This excluded the DW200 fuel pump (stock would work fine) and the DIY COPs (stock coils would be fine for this power level).

New video out -- I tie up some loose ends and look at heat management. Does anyone else use the heat shield thing that comes with the TacoTaco ebay manifolds? It looked like a bbq grill to me. But I threw it on there anyway :jerkit:

Just after filming I also got another type of heat blanket stuff from Heatshield Products. It seems decent but I haven't installed it yet. It's a sheet material -- 1/4" thick with flame proof material on one side like a turbo blanket and reflective material on the other. The idea is that it goes partially around the down pipe and will retain less moisture than a full header wrap style of material.
